Bit of an odd request, but does anyone have a copy of this program I could borrow or a picture of the cover they could send me?
Cheers in advance.

Yep, just download here WalthamstowBlade. That's a great site by the way.Sharrowblade 's website should have the front cover
No it was 1-0 to us then Northampton equalised, We led again for half time before they equalised again. Keith Kettleborough's last match for us. Flowers was still a Wolves player then, he joined Cobblers in 1967This was my first United match. Ended 2-2 after United had led 2-0. Sound familiar? Ron Flowers was playing for the Cobblers.
Thanks for the correction. Funny how your memory plays tricks. I think my next game was a 0-0 against WBA.No it was 1-0 to us then Northampton equalised, We led again for half time before they equalised again. Keith Kettleborough's last match for us. That's amazing.
It was about that time I took my Blades program collection to school at the old Bluestones (near Park Hill). I was astounded to find a good market for them at three pence each and I'd built up a princely sum of 2/6d before the teacher came in and angrily brought my early entrepreneurship to a close. In fact she made me feel so bad about making money on school property she no doubt permanently damaged an early Donald Trump. Socialist bitch.

Cobblers. Sorry its the law.Bit of an odd request, but does anyone have a copy of this program I could borrow or a picture of the cover they could send me?

It certainly does. I could have sworn Steve Neville played for us in 82/3 but it turns out he played against us. I knew I'd seen him play that season, just forgot it was for Exeter. Thanks for the correction. Funny how your memory plays tricks. I think my next game was a 0-0 against WBA.
I may have gone to that game, I remember going there once but all I remember was that they had a cricket pitch just like us, maybe they still have it.Bit of an odd request, but does anyone have a copy of this program I could borrow or a picture of the cover they could send me?

October 1965, we won with a goal by Ken MallenderI may have gone to that game, I remember going there once but all I remember was that they had a cricket pitch just like us, maybe they still have it.
Divisions Northampton were in between 1961 and 1970
1961 4th (promoted)
1962 3rd
1963 3rd (promoted)
1964 2nd
1965 2nd (promoted)
1966 1st (relegated)
1967 2nd (relegated)
1968 3rd
1969 3rd (relegated)
1970 4th
That's quite a ride. Swansea from 1978 to 1987 was similarly entertaining.
I wonder if we will be the first team to go from the top league to the bottom twice.
My memory of the 1966 Northampton game was Mick Jones barging their keeper over the line for a goal which would not be allowed nowadays. Probably shouldn't have been allowed then come to think of it.
Lost 2-0 on 30th April 1966

Yes he was WBA's manager until summer 1967Wasn't Jimmy Hagan the WBA manager then? Remember coming out of The Lane gutted so my dad tried to cheer me up stating "never mind at least Hagan's got 2 points"
Needless to say dad was a big Hagan fan as were many in his generation - he's 88 now and its still "Hagan was the greatest" all the time

I saw this match too. As I went to the match I was wondering how a team like Northampton Town had reached the First Division
to play teams like Sheffield United and Blackpool. I felt they were really a Third Division outfit and should be facing clubs like Swansea City and Bournemouth and Boscombe.
I preferred the 7-3 against them
Thanks for this. I feel much better now.Thankfully we won't. Portsmouth have already done this.
