There's been so many off the field incidents at the club over the last decade it's getting silly.

It seems to be that there's been a discipline issue for most, if not all, of that time.

Bryan Robson seemed to encourage a drinking culture without and consequence or onus on professionalism and it has continued since then.

In modern football, players going out in town on a Saturday night is not on. It's stupid and asks for trouble. Even if they're well behaved they're likely to get idiots having a go at them. They should not be drinking (or at least drinking heavily) during the season. They're professional athletes on a lot of money.

It's clearly rubbing off on our younger players and creating a new generation with the same problems.

Adkins needs to get rid of the bad apples and instil professionalism from the Academy to the first XI.

We'll spent the next decade in the lower reaches if not.

I think Lee Hendrie and his brief stay in Sheffield still sets the hallmark of bad attitude.

Before he joined us, he was in the Leadmill with the Villa team trying to pull one of my friends. She has having none of it and had no idea who he was until he tried using the "I'm a footballer" line. She hates football....

I saw him pissing on the dancefloor of Vodka Revs. Then shouting "I PLAY FOR THE BLADES" while being dragged out by ironically a Villa supporting bouncer.

I don't doubt that the players in the Warnock or Bassett era and before used to engage in similar recreational activities.

But here is the difference:

At one time it was a 'work hard/play hard' ethos. Train all week, put in a shift whether you win, lose or draw then let your hair down at the weekend, fair enough.
In previous generations, players came from humble backgrounds and understood that they had a fantastic job and it was a privilage which had to be earned. The lifestyle was the reward from the football.

For this bunch of wankers, the football is a distraction from the lifestyle. Get through the week and do the bare minimum until the weekend comes, then you can down umpteen shots, have a few lines and slap each others cocks, whilst carrying around a massively undeserved sense of entitlement in the process.

Fuck them, they are a cancer on this club which needs to be removed.

The difference was that Bassett and Warnock got them to play 100% regardless and the latter wouldn't stand for any nonsense when it came to games.

I don't think, in this day and age where footballers are athletes and social media and mobile phones are everywhere, that players an act like this any more and sgtill be successful.

When some prick is leaking the team every week it doesn't take Einstein to work out things are seriously wrong down there.

What a shambles.

I've said for a couple of years our squad have no professionalism. Social media is a glimpse into players pass times and attitudes and I have no confidence that the majority take their job as seriously as seriously as us fans take supporting the club. We have massive problems in terms of our playing squads attitudes. On the pitch you can see it too, I'd love to see some of our players fighting on the pitch, instead we see a bunch of 11 wimps pussy footing around with their stupid haircuts and tattoos neshing out of tackles left right and centre.

Baxter is a fat waster and I hope he doesn't get another penny out of us but I'll bare my arse on leppings lane if he's the only one in our squad guilty of such offence.

Adkins thinks he's mother Teresa and can turn our wasters into decent human beings. He can't. Terminate as many contracts for gross misconduct as we legally can and start again and for fucks sake, sign some fucking players who are hard as nails and some with some fucking pace.

Dunno about the Warnock years, heard stories of the players being in the Republic Saturday nights - was never really the place for a few drinks.

Even very good players still have an occasional night on the razz, but still perform, they don't do it a night or two before a game but they still do it.
The problem is too many of ours see a night on the razz as their reason for existing.
It not only affects their performance but it also affects the performance of those that don't do it.

Unfairness in the workplace and a "One rule for them and another rule for me" is absolutely depressing when you're the victim of it.
There's probably quite a few of our squad that could be decent players that are pissed off with some of the others and just can't work with them.

You only need two or three to transform the team, fingers crossed we can find them
