Just wondered...There were lots of Naval chaps around Portsmiff, Fareham and Gosport for sure, I moved to Southampton after I lived in Swanmore, with the Saints still being my second team (shhh). For south coast purposes I am proud to be a scummer

Andrew doesn't have a problem with swearing. What Andrew does have a problem with is posters who, because they went to a game and others didn't, or drove a long way to get there, or once played at a high standard, seem to think that their opinion is automatically worth more than someone else's. No-one except Foxy gets to decide what, or how, anyone else posts. It's become a running joke, but there's always the 'ignore' button.

Opinions are like arseholes (sorry, Bert) - we've all got one. I'm a natural pessimist, others are endlessly optimistic - and good on them, but don't expect me to agree. Views differ, wildly in some cases, but that's what makes this board entertaining. And, in the end, we're all just whistling in the dark - in the great scheme of everything football, we're all now-knowts, on the outside looking in.

For my part, I regret getting trying to achieve some balance in the thread by correcting wild nonsense by Pommpey whose first post on the thread was further repetition of his usual vulgar rants.
