This is brilliant news. Not only did I save £60/70 quid watching these gobs shites last week, ì can now save the same again thus weekend.

SUFC - doing their bit for austerity Britain

Times like this I retreat to the golden age of 1971 "Woodward to Currie"
Apologies to the younger supporters
Where is my club going?
Cut out the golden memories bit..... Thinking of those heady days will turn you from depressed to suicidal at the moment. Cheer yourself up and think when it was really bad. Walsall and Givens?

So the three players involved in the "new dawn" at Donny all get hauled off. How's that work then?

At least if it is a youthful/positive side battling through till the end & getting beaten, there's a bit of hope about the direction we're pointing in. But the bit of youth & little bit of positivity get canned when the going's not good.

The lack of strategy & direction is glaring. It's just react, react, react.

Adkins needs to sort himself out & show a few glimmers of why & how he actually got sides promoted from this division.

Not really if any of those youthful players are anywhere near good enough our owners will have them sold and replace with more of the same old, average fill ins. leading us further down the tables.

Selling and replacing with crap has been going on for years .

Now there are two absent owners and they still can't put together a team better than the season before.

I'd say season is over if we don't win on Saturday. I can't see us making the play offs if we don't pick up three points v Port Vale.
I can see us scraping a win on Saturday but still wouldn't put much store in it. Looking back at our results there is a bit of a pattern after a really shit performance of bouncing back briefly before losing the plot again.

Nowt left to sell, TB. Just George & Che, and the both of them still need further nurturing before they'd be ripe for profiteering.

It wasn't the worst performance I've seen from the Blades - that was Yeovil away last season - but it was the second worst. The set up looked wrong from the start, NA tried to freshen things up but they looked like a team completely devoid of belief. Of the outfield players only Baxter looked vaguely on it, although I wouldn't criticise DCL because he clearly isn't a winger and as others have mentioned Long played pretty well, only one real mistake where he misjudged a high cross in the wind. NA needs to have a long hard think after that.

I almost always agree with every point Edwards makes but I hate listening to him.He calls it as it is and its not often good news. Also he is self-obsessed and a whining so and so who would have profited from his own older man advice to himself as a young player. So talented and yet wasted his real potential by not developing his team play and his all- round game; ironic really.

Keith Edwards wasted his real potential? Really?

253 league goals not enough for you?

No team play? Who took all the corners?

Jesus Christ.

Anyone who wins the golden boot can be forgiven for a bit of shit lining.

Just got back. Only player to come out of it with any credit is George Long. But for two good saves in the second half it would have been 3.0. Feel quite let down tonight. Just like Yeovil last year - there are no excuses left
Worse than at Yeovil though weren;t we?

You take any teams best player away and there likely to fall.

We're not taking about Maradona here ffs! Okay, Murphy had his good games but I wouldn't exactly call him the fulcrum of the team.

The board have to also take their share of the blame for many reasons but Adkins had enough 'quality' left to work with and enough funds to make this team into promotion candidates. If the the alleged wages of Hammond and Sammon can be believed then he had more than enough.

The performances were probably on a par. I felt let down by the fact that there were no extenuating circumstances for either performance: ie dodgy decisions, lucky goals, injuries, etc, etc.

Yeovil was the first game last season where I couldn't come up with an excuse (to my friends back home) for the poor performance and result, and also realising our season was effectively over. I fear last night was the same.

Yes, but the team hasn't fallen that far from last season. Its not as if were bottom of the league. Also remember that Murphy was double banked most of last season providing a lot of space that others didn't have the quality to exploit. He's one of the best wingers in the championship and worth a lot more money than they paid for him. Some blades predicted this . Disagree about the quality Adkins has had to work with: the worst back four since the 80s; the worst midfield I can remember; rookie goalkeeper (or a poor one). Many injury prone, unfit or poor players - even if they have talent (Brayford, Coutts, Baxter, Cuveliar, Flynn, Harris). These are all legacy players.

Worst performance I have seen from United team!
got in late last night and to be honest I was too angry to even look at this.

AWFUL truly awful with NO signs whatsoever for any improvement/s soon.

Heard Edwards comments and he was bang on. He always is and as a result, a couple of months ago, 'Kev' and the Clappettes were murdering him on here for speaking the truth.

Pathetic

Thing is, if Murphy was still here games like Swindon finish 2-0 and not 1-1. He would
Have been moved up top for the last 15 minutes. I know Adkins was trying to get Adams on but he had already spunked his subs by then.

A manager can learn from the previous managers good things as well as bad but Murphy was sold by the board and I think we would be safely in the play offs with him.

WHF can't handle the truth :(

This season - and next - is over with Adkins in charge. Play-offs are gone but the last 15 games and how we perform will be decisive as to the season tickets we sell for next season. There are just two options:

Keep Adkins, struggle to mid-table this year and start 2016-17 in front of 13-14k crowds. The gloom that has descended over BDTBL will deepen, Adkins will waste more money on his old, past-it mates and he'll get the boot at Christmas. Another season will have almost been wasted. Or...

Adkins goes and we get somebody - anybody - in. Wilder, Edinburgh who knows? What we do know is that Adkins has shit his potful with a lost season, full of embarrassing, humiliating defeats.

Don't feel it's our fault for being 'impatient' etc. We've been magnificently loyal this season but last night was the final straw. And console yourselves that some people will look back and say 'We didn't give Adkins* a chance.'

* Substitute Clough, Weir, Robson, Wilson, Blackwell. Truth is, they've all been fucking bad managers.

....Gareth Ainsworth, Neil Redfearn, Ronnie Moore, Teddy Sherringham, Steve Cotteril, Pig Sheridan, David Dunn, Pig Sturrock, Steve Clarke, John Still, Dean Saunders, Gary Bowyer, Russ Wilcox, Uwe Rossler, Mark Cooper etc etc et-fucking-cetra.

Would you suggest we use the scientific tea leaf approach or the tried and tested 'lucky' heather / seaweed combo?
