We are having a meeting on Saturday at 1pm in Fannys (lord nelson) upstairs to discuss a planned protest. This will be a peaceful protest against the club has a whole, we need route and branch change.

Our main idea is to stage a walk out on 84 minutes at the Oldham game in protest at 6 years in League one. But we are open to other idea's, if you can't come along you can post your idea's/views on here and we will discuss them as a group.

The time has come, 8 years of decline and we have not bottomed out yet, please support us, we love United but can't just sit on our hands and blindly turn up week in week out.

Save our Blades 'Stand up United' group.

Easy to be a critic but a walk out on 84 minutes would be largely dependent on the score/ game at the time.

Over on BM not singing the GCB has been mooted but how about people standing and slow hand clapping early in the game, first few minutes or even at kick off?

It's a good idea, I'm all for protesting.

But what will a walk out do? it's not like the owners will see or take notice when they very rarely go to games.

This is the problem I feel, people talk about protest in the car park etc but who are we protesting to when no one important will see it or take notice.

Throw tennis balls on the pitch! Worked at dortmund to get attention, easy to get into the ground and noticeable! Would only need a few hundred to make an impact and not like the stewards could kick everyone out.

Blade too long will be alerting the club and we'll all get searched now.

Just a thought. Refrain from spending any money in the ground. Forego the usual programme, pie, pint, soft drink etc. Hits the club where it hurts, makes a point and we still get to see the last minute winner when Sammon let's one rip into the top corner from 30 yards!o_O

If you want to do a "6" theme, how about everyone standing up on 6 mins and slow handclapping?

unfortunately I think your wrong there, haven't we sold all our rights to Compass who just pay us a flat fee and a very small percentage of takings and then they can sell food and drink in the ground, so youd only be hurting them and not the Blades. Not that hurting Compass would be the worst idea either although they do enough damage themselves with their incompetent sales force.

My idea when Weir was manager was a pants protest ,like the Spanish wave white hankies. Everyone takes their pants off and wave them in the air at a certain point in the game ,like 52 mins for the amounts of points we are likely to accumulate.

I like this idea. All up on the 6 min mark and slow clap for the full minute. Thing is, to make a real impact we need a good proportion of the fans to join in, will they ? I hope so.

Sing something else when the music's played for the GCB? (Like "Fuck off McCabe, we want our club back".)
Protest should be against everything that is wrong with our club - so the protest is against the club! 'We want or club back' sang with passion would really 'stick-out'

Can't we just leave on 6 minutes and meet back in Fannys

But... if everyone did it... no doubt the press would pick up on it and ask what it was about... as I posted elsewhere and Sitwell mentions above.. exactly what is our desired outcome? who are we aiming it at? do we even know?

Storm the barricades! Invade the pitch and demand the shirts off the backs of these wankers. . . . Let em play in fucking skins.

When did you last see United mentioned in a national newspaper?

Aims would presumably be - Accountability, an understanding of the leadership structure / 3 year plan and a visible Chairman with football experience, based in this country who is committed to driving the club forwards.
