  • Their goal was a handball
  • we had chances to win
  • should have scored

He is nothing more than a pompous school teacher, who has been found out by his squad and our supporters, I mean do you respect him! Do you expect the players to?
Would you go the extra yard for a pompous guy who you have no respect for?

And I am yet to start on McCabe

I wouldn't give my all at a job I'm not qualified, for people who wanted me gone in a few months.

Getting a little sick of hearing about this so called good run away from home. Frankly we don't give a shit, we are 18 points behind Burton fucking Albion. I couldn't care less that it's our first away loss since Crewe

We are the only team that could go on an undefeated run, and drop down the league table.

Sick to the back teeth of all of it. Board, management, players.

It's all been way short of what's required. Not there to witness it but you just know how poor and dull it will have been.
 
After the next dreadful performance, get the players in front of the camera and let's hear what they think.

Wonder if they'll be as quiet then as they are on the pitch.

The manager looks drained, mentally. Similar comments after every match, trying to remain positive, he's a very tired man.

Roll on the end of the season, let's hope that these "players" masquerading as representing OUR CLUB, have become nightmarish memories.

Total shambles from start to finish.. I don't like the way he talks and don't like the way he try's to play football! The games we've won away have been very lucky and I've not seen any improvement on last year. Under clough we made the play offs and had great cup runs with most of this squad ! He can't go on blaming what he's got ! We know the players are poor but it's how you manage them and for me he can't get the best out of them. Got to go for me!!

Just heard it. About time a member of the playing staff faced the press, be it Star/Radio Sheff.
He sounds like I expect a player to sound after a performance like that.
Hope there's more of the post-match player's thoughts, especially after a defeat, about time they took some of the flak.
 



Just came in and checked the result and holy crap we lost to Bury. Bury for fks sake! Bury!!

Even on this "good run" of away games (mostly draws), we bookend the run with defeats to shite like Crewe & Bury. That being said, it's the home form that's killed us this season.

6th in the league on away form (with only 3 sides having lost fewer away from home including, bizarrely, Oldham).
13th on home form (only 7 sides having lost more at home).

Fucking right I expect the players to go the extra yard for him!!! Regardless of the fact that he has achieved more in the game than most or all of them - he is their gaffer and they are paid VERY well to do that for him and for the club.

Yep gets better for adkins because after tough run. Ideal next 2 home games for him v former blades captain (rob page) & manager (Nigel Clough)
 
Clough is gonna end up getting him the sack. That will just top of the season
 
I can't believe he talks about fine margins and their goal being unlucky due to a handball as though we'd played well and deserved something from the game. It was the overall performance that pissed all the fans off, if we'd scored an equaliser, it would have been a travesty to Bury as one of their fans said in Roys thread, we passed it from side to side with no ideas of how to go forward other than lump it hopefully down the channels. It was frankly, pathetic. From the first 5 minutes, the players looked like they didn't want to be there, much less actually want the ball. Reedy, good game Saturday, got barged a couple of times early on and didn't want to know. Only George came out of that game with any credit.
