Is it just me or does anyone else think Killa could do a job in midfield?
He could potentially be the holding midfielder we are looking for as he has the defensive qualities required, but unlike monty he does know how to pass and could cause the opposition far more problems than what we have at the moment. I don't think he would work with Hendrie though, so therefore stick Hendrie out on the left, and play killa in the middle alongside A.Quinn for his attacking qualities, and then put Carney on the right. Im not saying we would go on and get promoted with that midfield but we would surely be better off for it at least until a new loan signing comes in or until January.

If you are going to play Killa in front of back four, you could run 4-1-4-1. Go with Stead Hendrie Quinn Carney across the middle and BT up front. If not Killa then ano, as we have to plug the gap before we can go forward.

Maybe although I don't see Killa as a new version of Jags though.

When it comes to central defensive midfield we are screwed abit.

Not a bad shout, he's VERY good on the ball, just poor positionally where it really matters in the heart of defence.

couldnt agree with you more there SV, i really cant understand why some blades fans rave about him so much.

Everytime ive seen him play, he has had a mare worthy of johnnys field.

Such a waste of money and barely suitable for the reserve team IMO

completley disagree there, and i reckon alot of blades fans will....maybe even the majority of blades fans.

To be honest Ross, when we signed him I said we were paying over the odds, as I have never rated him. He's not very good at defending, nor is he consistent (well maybe consistently poor )

BUT I believe he "may" be able to do a job at defensive midfield, his best attribue is his passing, he is calm on the ball too.

I would never have put him as CB, LB seems the only other option if defensive midfield is not one.

For the people who doubt can't do it there, it's worth a punt and can't be any worse than what we have seen.

I don't even think he has been outplayed while he's been at CB. There has been times when the striker has won a majority of the balls but he never let it get into a dangerous position.

I know i won't win the argument cos you have an answer for everything....lol

I know a lot of people disagree with me with regards to Killa, I suppose because I play CB when I play that he annoys me like hell, because he is very poor at times. He struggled with Clive Platt on first day of season, but he only made on mistake, sadly this cost us the 3 points.

I'm personally not much of a fan, but think the defensive midfield role might actually suit him well, it's probably because I don't rate him that I have never thought of him attemping this role.

A centre half's mistakes are always magnified. Look at Morgan - when in form makes fewer mistakes and everybody loves him. Out of form, makes costly errors and everybody wants him lynched.

you could have quite a point there, im not a fan, but at this moment in time i would be willing to try anything to gain some sort of solidity at the back.

If your right and he could provide the CB's with that little more time to be more composed in what they are doing then that would be great. The only thing that i would be worried about, and that would be killa being drawn out of position too much and not being able to get back........ but i suppose thats the same with anyone

Exactly, for me his footballing skills have never been in doubt, just defensively he looks like he should be playing at a much lower level

Agreed Hilltop ... I honestly dont think it could be much worse than the current situation ... He may show some urgency and passion - after all, he is after a starting position
