Haven't seen anything mentioned anywhere but there must have been something wrong with him yesterday. He was playing in front of us in the first half and was almost doubled up after 5 minutes - you'd think that he'd just played 90 minutes. It went downhill from there and, one noteworthy run aside, he barely got moving. Penalty summed his day up, it was a needless challenge and the bloke had already nicked the ball from him because he was so slow to react. Others had bad games but he just didn't look interested from the off.

Like many others brought in by Clough he's a crock..you can patch him up, give injections/treatments/whatever but the fact remains...
 
I thought he got injured early doors ,he was limping but fair play to him he battled on and was better than some of his co-horts. I also didn't think it was a pen ,he looked for it and the ref couldn't wait to give them anything. I also think he should be central alongside Hammond with Flynn in front of Brayford ,Jcr on the left and Basham with Edgar at centre half.
 
He was pretty dreadful yesterday, seemed to be running around through treacle. But he's been consistently good for a couple of months now, with many flashes of real quality, so he gets a free pass as far as yesterday's concerned from me. Decent player having an off day as I see it.
 
An absolute disgraceful performance yesterday. I watched him ambling after losing possession. No effort what so ever. Should never wear the shirt again.
 
He's not a bad player but he's not as good as he seems to think he is and when he's off his game can be very sloppy indeed.

Shouldn't be an automatic starter.

Yep, he had a bad day at the office yesterday. Pity, I think he's been one of our better players these last few weeks, home and away.

I thought he'd been told to play deeper and cover in front of Brayford giving Hammond or Badham leave to go forward
 
How can anybody be soft after watching that display.
What annoys me that a couple of our younger more promising players have sold by the incompetent management.
At least they would of but a bit of effort in.

He didn't play he strolled around he thinks he's so good he's not he's so lazy.

Are you for real? Have you actually been to any matches a lately? Or this season? As he has probably been the most consistent player we have had this season bar from possibly billy sharp?

Coutts is our most creative midfield, yes I admit he didn't have a great game yesterday which is a shame but did any of them? There was 11 crap players on the pitch yesterday and for you to single coutts out and say he isn't fit to wear a shirt again is totally ridiculous.

I think coutts has just because a bit of a scape goat for some people and no matter what he seems to get the blame. He has been one of the better players for us this season.
 
Add him to the list of crap we need to get rid of in the summer.
 
I thought he was off yesterday. He was slow to react to tackles and passes. Maybe just an off day as I feel he's been playing well the last few games. Links well with Brayford at times.
 
Just lazy he wasn't the only one, he was the one that showed the least fight.

He does going forward but hes no drive and no will to win .

I hope so but I be surprised he's OK tippy tappying around with Brayford going forward but when full blooded challenges come in he goes missing.
 
Coutts has put in numerous garbage performances for us so I'm not sure this should be surprise.
 
Coutts was dire yesterday in terms of effort and application but still half decent when on the ball. He has been better in recent times about simple fact is he cant play more than an hour or so without being finished. We cannot carry players.
 

Although Coutts links up well with Brayford, he is NOT a wide midfielder. He has no pace and no means of beating a player. I think in the centre he is quite steady and keeps / plays the ball well. If we persist in playing two out of Hammond, Basham, Coutts in midfield, then we need wingers or some outlet wide. JCR gets slated by some but al least he is positive every time he gets the ball.
