If we do bring three players in, and it's a big if, it will be interesting to see if they go straight into the starting eleven as he alludes to. That would imply they are currently getting regular games to be match fit and ready to hit the ground running. Strange we couldn't sign them permanently but they will come on loan, odd.

I do not believe for one minute we made serious bids for players come on we must be the unluckiest club ever if people think 3 bids from this window and 2 from the last window were serious and not accepted.

Mcabe and Adkins since December have been saying the wage bill isn't sustainable so why does anyone think we'd add to it?

Might be a daft question, but, why didn't we loan them before the window 'slammed shut' as they say - there seemed to be many loan deals done during the last day of the window - Or am I being too simplistic ???

You are correct and the board's cunning cash conserving plan is to have no-one on the technical board.

I have just listened to the interview, NA said possibly we could get one of the 3 targeted signings the other 2 were unlikely to be allowed to leave their clubs, different from what AG tweeted. It sounds more likely we are going with what we have, will that be good enough, haven't got a Scooby do.

Perhaps Mr Adkins' quote of 'wanting players that make an immediate impact in the 1st team' was to deflect the point that the club would not be purchasing any new players - Am I being cynical as I could get half a dozen players from Anston Over 35's that are both quicker and more committed than most of the shower of sh!te that pull on a blades shirt on a Saturday afternoon !!!
