Maybe you need to be honest with the fans.

So, and I don't expect names, I'd like to see the Board state what bids were made during the window to back up their 'recruitment' issues:

Position
Level currently playing
Squad status
First bid
Final bid

We can all do polls, and I can guarantee that if there was a poll done as to whether the fans believe the club has made serious bids for realistic targets, then the results wouldn't be pretty.

You've currently lost most fans. Sack the Board will be ringing out on Saturday and no doubt will only get louder unless there's a random improvement in performance and results.

If Jim wants goodwill and genuinely wants what is best for the club he should offer his resignation, admit that he isn't the best man for the job as chairman, and work to hire a chairman who lives in England, knows football and can start rebuilding our football club.

It's not so much not signing anybody, well it is, but it is the constant bullshit that we are expected to swallow season after season. Stop insulting the intelligence of the supporters, a lot of us are adults, just tell it us how it is, stop dressing it up.

Why would the club want to weaken any future negotiating position by publically stating what we offered first and finally? I understand you hurt this morning but let's keep it real

You can't go around shouting names of players under contracts at other clubs, let's not be naive about this. And no one is going to shout about bid values either.

No amount of information is going to make Blades say, "ah well, fair enough", at this stage. They are best off sticking tin hats on and praying we beat Wigan.

That's ALL this club does

DAN BURN, DAN BURN, DAN BURN, DEAN HAMMOND, DEAN HAMMOND, CHRIS O'GRADY, CONNOR COADY, JOHN BRAYFORD.

Our entire transfer policy over the last year seems to have been to go on about trying to sign under contract players by explicitly naming them.

Not his fault thou is it. He isn't the money man and he doesn't make the decisions .
Phipps resigning would not solve anything. The problem.is higher up

The media do that, not the club. And besides, it doesn't seem to make you happy, so why do you want them to do it now?

The Sheffield Star, a paper which struggles to find the end of its own nose, seems to know the players we're after. I wonder how they find out about those secret bids and negotiations....

I want proof we're actually trying to sign players by bidding for realistic targets and bidding realistic amounts. There's no way to actually get that 100% but if we're bidding £100k for a first team regular in the division above we're clearly not.

If the Board wish us to accept the kind of nonsense in Jim's statement they have to provide some kind of evidence.

I agree there are further problems higher than Jim, however, his amateurish comments and statement today has made his position untenable in my book.

What exactly does he bring to the club other than a lot of talk about something he knows very little about. He's hardly ever in the country and by his own admission he does the job on a part time basis. he is a waste of time, and unfortunately a very noisy one.

He should step down because he offers NOTHING to our club. Ironically he talks about clearing the deck, trimming the squad, we have too many bodies etc. well he's one of the many people at the club we don't need. He should do the right thing and resign and get out of the way.

Spot on.
