Can see Adkins walking soon. I supose that will cheer some up, but I see no better options out there.
whilst I still really want us to succeed under NA, a part of me hopes he does walk, sacrificing his pay off in order to spill the beans on the amateurish, incompetent activity that must be going on behind the scenes in OUR football club. He isn't the problem and after 6-12 months he'll be in work again. Successive managers come, successive managers fail, whilst some were bad managers not one of them has been dealt a fair deck financially.

Can't even feel angry about it, I totally expected it to go this way, I am rapidly losing interest In United after nearly forty years.

As someone said on here the other day they are turning us into a Sheffield version of Port Vale. Clearly the Prince has lost all interest and will walk away, McCabe Will be be back in sole charge in the summer and the next item on the agenda will be selling the Lane and the "community stadium" with Sheffield Eagles with raise its head.
You and me both mate, fast losing interest in them I find it depressing going to games a lately and soon the begging letter to renew my season ticket will be dropping through letter box after another poor season,Well Mr McCabe and the board what about giving me something to get excited about before I give you anymore of my hard earned brass ?

Anyone who'd be happy about Adkins walking is a complete pleb. Probably the best manager we'll get at this level, and based on the last few years, more than we deserve.

Unfortunately the board are also bastards, so if he doesn't walk, and doesn't secure promotion, he'll probably get the boot instead.

Adkins, to be fair, is probably just the puppet in all this. I think he's doing his best to keep the bad ship United from sinking.

Far from blameless. TBH, if I owned the club, I'd have given him fuck all to spend in the JTW too, having seen his other signings (Sharp excepted of course).

The board have failed and must go immediately, but it's dark times ahead and we all need to prepare for that. My main concern now is also keeping the club at Bramall Lane

So a totally expected JTW write off makes you worry about us leaving BL? Based on what?

Twitter blades seems to be the modern day version of Billy's Weekly Liar, which older posters may remember from holidaying in Blackpool.

Well we knew that line was coming ........................................ FFS how original, wankers.

I don't know why they'd choose to post that! Depending on who reads it, is it either going to look like the club is lying, or it makes them look incompetent for not having a plan B. Better to keep quiet, no?

To make it worse, in this day and age, they are probably paying some digital marketing firm a shit-ton of money to make them look good,

Aaaah! Not on the financial realities then? Or common sense.
Common sense would suggest that if the board wanted to get this club promoted then they would do. Common sense would suggest that if the other half of our ownership was about to walk away they wouldn't spend a further penny in the JTW.

An ounce of common sense would probably help you to see that all is not well at Bramall Lane. God help you

Based on the fact that our co chairman is an utter cunt?
I think personal attacks are uncalled for and help no one.
Ownership is joint, and personally I think one half has decided enough is enough.
The problem is the Prince doesn't have enough money to buy McCabe out so we're stuck in a loveless marriage.

I'm well aware things arent right. I've posted about it enough.i just don't feel the need to over react and post shite about not keeping BL because we didn't sign anyone which anyone with half a clue about the problems at The club would have expected.

Not signing anyone is not linked to some bullshit rumour on BladesMad about moving.

In your opinion Sean, will there be a split at boardroom level coming soon?

I'd guess the problem is that McCabe has made poor decision after poor decision - despite his heart being in the right place and him looking at being close to £40 million worse off as things stand - and the other side having no experience in football, other than Sela's Fernebache links. Plenty to point fingers at on both sides.
I doubt the Prince expected to lose most if his initial £10 million investment on trading losses. The forecasts the deal was based on originally would no doubt be very interesting.

Up to now this season Clough has been a good scapegoat. That excuse has now gone and I'd suggest so is the question of whether Adkins is good enough. It's a poisoned chalice for ANY manager.

I agree with others and I said it at the beginning we are constantly being told one thing only for another to happen.

If we are skint just come out and say it.

I would also question the amount of money invested in the first team v revenue generated over their tenure.

No question about putting money in to keep us ticking over but surely that's the expectation and shouldn't be held up as something brilliant.

They've had a good look at it and now want out before they have to get serious.

I wonder what all those fans will do who drink with Jim on match day???

Nothing from the club's official sources except the departures.

Virtually nothing from the local journalists - only Giddings saying the club was "trying".

Adkins will now just get on with his hard working professionals but how bad are the finances and what is the current state of the relationship between the owners ?

As Bob Dylan says "when something's not right it's wrong".

What is going on ?

Wonder if Jim will return in mid February and return to twitter ? Wonder if they've all taken their bats and balls home ?

Giddings got that one right, they certainly are.

If we are skint just come out and say it.

Skint? We've just blown £1m+ on the fucking pitch, FFS!

Said it before - I'd rather they played on the old Baseball Ground and had two central defenders who can do the business than some fancy billiard table we get trunked by Colchester on on a satdi.

These are the only Windows the people running our club are interested in. We are being treated like mugs, and again,Sheffield United systematically have lied to those who do actually give a fuck.

If you want to see game changing investment Messrs McCabe and Phipps, take a drive along Derek Dooley Way to see what a bit of ambition does. Or will you trot out the same old hackneyed line that we prefer to do things "the Blades Way"?

We ALL know what the Blades way is. And it's fucking shite.

If you're old enough to remember, Play School had Brian Cant. Our board is full of them .
