The other clubs to fall to this level of a similar size to us have ALL been out of it within 3 years. We are verging on double that.

Sorry, yes I did. You're right, Jokanovic is a decent manager and I should have said 'struggled to find a decent manager'. I heard Steve Clarke was up for the job until he met this bloke and it put him right off'. They got one eventually but I think they were turned down by a few first.
I don't know how well Jokanovic will do at Fulham though. Watford are so we'll run they can change managers frequently and it seems to have little adverse effect. Fulham are more like us, in terms of the board; a bit clueless.

I appreciate you desperation to sign Burn and Morsey. Give them what they want you say because they are top quality at this level.

Didn't we say the same about Adkins. In fact many said he'd be too expensive and the board have no ambition to buy the best.

Also didn't we pay Brayford massive wages for league and pay over a million. Many said it wouldn't happen as we lack ambition to bring back our talisman and leader.

We were after Sharp who was on massive wages at Leeds. Surely he was outside our budget bringing in s tried and tested striker.

Hammond was the final piece of the jigsaw and on massive wages. Many said pay him what he wants.

Che Adams hit great form and wanted a massive pay rise. I heard some say he's a certain England international, pay him what he wants making him amongst our top earners.

See the pattern?

We pay Morsey and Burn massive wages. Then what if we still don't get promotion and are in financial trouble about to go bust. Then the board would be blasted for being irresponsible and paying massive wages to average players.

We can't afford to act out of desperation and pay over the odds. I know maybe Burn and Morsey could put in a clause in their contract that if we fail to be promoted they can be sold for £30K.

Oops we've already tried that tactic when we re signed McDonald. The fact of any league 1 club will struggle to bring in good players unless they offer big money:

I don't think they'd be interested in a deal "at the going" rate. We're already paying over the odds I'd wager to get them even interested. Of course I'm sure if we doubled our bid it would be accepted, is that what you think we should do?

I'm guessing there's a difference to tapping up as opposed to being asked a question about a specific player and then responding with stuff like he's Fulham's player right now etc. I don't recall him talking about him in specific terms as he generally doesn't do it. Personally I think if he signs he'll get a massive cheer when he's introduced on the pitch partly as a piss take for the longest transfer saga in out history!

Think it's been posted before but Fulham are waiting for confirmation on Michael Madl signing and then I expect Burn will be loaned here...his contract is up in the summer so maybe they'll try and get a few quid for him now...sure I read somewhere Burn was keen to come to us...?
