Don't forget lads and lasses that a transfer involves three agreements:

1) selling club to buying club
2) selling club to player
3) buying club to player

Nope but the past 8 years or so have been pretty formative for us.
the last 16 have been for wednesday theyve been relegated to league one twice and this season is their 15th annual prem return season ticket offer
Wednesday are setting a new record for a sheffield club being outside the top division with every passsing year

Other supporters probably look at Uniteds squad and think sharps a stand out player.
Probably one or two more as well, we just don't see it.

Agreed, think a lot will look at Billy with envy. Dack being linked to Championship clubs so we may as well say goodbye to that one, already on 13 or 14 goals from midfield.

Your right about what he says Pete, but don't understand his remark about activity would be at the end of the transfers window, why is that ?.

Because we need to shift and that tends to happen when clubs come in for our players in the last week.

And how much worse off are we compared to last season, with him here?
I don't know... I'm too mindnumbingly bored to care how many points we actually have. What I do know however is that Jamie Murphy is a better left winger than Martyn Woolford and this season, we'd be far better off with him. Regardless of other failings all over the pitch

There is a thread, with graphs and everything.

We're a point better off and scoring many more goals (44 v 32). Our defensive displays have been our problem (although goal difference is better as well).

I think we'll finish stronger than Clough managed last season. Whether it's enough to scrape into the play offs, we'll see.

Since Adkins made the changes for the Barnsley game, we've taken 14 points from 7 including 3 games against top 6 sides.

We need this to continue, but there are several "six pointers" to come at the Lane.

Keep the faith, UTB.

Let's not forget Murphy scored 20% of all our goals last season and also had a hand in a lot more in a side playing very negative football and one up front most of the time, safe to say he would have done even better in a more attacking line up. Woolford is a piss poor replacement

I'm not saying Murphy isn't a good player, I wish he had stayed.

The bottom line is we've coped. We've gone from 15 points from 15 games to 14 from 7.

We now have a platform to make the play offs and we'll have goals in the side if we do get there.

And because I've written it down like that it immediately makes it sound more difficult than it actually should be/is.

you need to add 'Pesky agent' in at 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 :(

Fuck what that lot think. Whatever you think of KM, and in my case it's not a lot, he knows exactly how we'd react to selling our talisman to them.
I'd be shocked if he was that stupid.

Brealey tried selling Deano to them…….

But I think like Deano, Sharp and Kelly, Brayford would tell them in no uncertain terms to fuck off.

About the same. Given that we have a goalscorer this season, as well as a decent centre half there’s evidence to suggest that if we still had our best winger, we’d be some way better off.

Agreed, the recent upturn makes me more confident about our ability to make the playoffs. However, if we’d still had Murphy, I fancy that we would already be in the playoffs with a few more points on the board and still in with a chance of autos (speculation I know but surely not unreasonable belief). Whether we’d be playing the more rigid style we are now and whether Murphy would fit into that I don’t know but I’m sure we would have outscored a couple more teams when we were playing more open.

Either way, by selling him but doing bits of strengthening elsewhere, we’ve managed to tread water. We need to be aiming higher than treading water.

the last match he starred in we lost 4=0
been 160 days since our heaviest defeat
Hopefully his replacement will be as good as him going forward and evidently we'll need him to be better at defending corners too if we're going to pin that defeat on him.

Should be easy enough apparently. Day 159

Day 159 in the BTL household
He's managed three buckets of Sangria so far and 14 ultra positive posts by the mid afternoon point.
He's worked tirelessly to single handedly hold up morale, in a Murphless World
The man is a machine. Solar powered and Serrano inspired - those wafer thin slices just melt in his silver tongued mouth.
Wingers, whingers and Wums - he's taken on the lot of them and now in the diary room he has gone for his siesta getting ready for some nocturnal activity under the star lit heavens of the costa del bollocks.
Who will be next?
You decide!

strange how you get accused of heavy drinking if your positive
must be a knee jerk reaction from the moaners , a side effect from the bottles of downer pills and mogadons they shovel in

There's positive. And there's living in a dream world, sprinkled with pixie dust and inhabited by unicorns, where you seem to be based.

Can't believe teams haven't snapped up any of our fringe players on loan or permanent they must be waiting till the last day.

For those upset/angry/horny at the fact that we haven't had any activity in the transfer window so far, please read or listen to *any* Nigel Adkins interview from the last month.

He's repeatedly said our activity would be at the end of the window.

He's also repeatedly said we need to get people out before we can bring people in.

It will save you a lot of heartache in the long run.

Everything has a knock-on effect in the January transfer window. Clough and Wilson used to say it.

Look at the premiership. Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea have all not signed anybody yet.

Where is this dream world , Ive said I think we will finish 5th , but could get higher only if we recruit 3 bodies in
hardly fantastical or over positive

but a bit more realistic than some who said wed be in danger of relegation
now they are fuck wits on angel dust
