Colchester. 2-0 down. 2-2. Lose 3-2.
Bury. 1-0 down. 1-1. Lose 3-1.
Millwall. 1-1 down. 1-1. Lose 2-1.
Then today.

All pretty late in the second half.

Hyperbole?

Basically, every time we equalise, we get over excited, go for the win, fuck it up and lose. Unprofessional to lose all four like that. You can forgive the odd one, but four? All at home? Shambolic.
Good point and needs addressing .
Not conceding early would help.

the 3rd one was miles offside in the build up not shown on TV ,the whole of g and h block on John st and south stand were up.

Brayford should've played to the whistle though. The kid was running at him and he turned to the linesman looking for a flag which probably stopped him getting a tackle in.

Think long could've done better with first 2. The third is absolutely embarrassing.

First two is down to closing down the distance and denying the shooting opportunity.

Third one, as soon as he is in the 18 yd box tackling is a complete no-no, especially with the cloggers we have. One touch and he'd be sprawling. There just seemed to be no one stood in his way to jockey him wider to deny the shooting chance.

pommpey

Three experienced players let the third goalscorer waltz round them: Brayford, Edgar and Hammond, shame Collins wasn't one of the three!! As Adkins pointed out, all that experience and yet we still conceded. However it was Premier League quality and credit where credit is due.

Hard to tell if Long is at fault for the first but he got nowhere near it. Great goal and we seem to be unlucky enough for so many players to score "worldy's" or sitting ducks, either or depends on your outlook.

Second goal was unsaveable I reckon, he didn't put his foot through the ball, he lobbed the keeper who was in a keeper's usual place a couple of yards off the line.

None of the goals were Long's fault. Laughable that some can't wait to blame him.

Our issue is we dont close down their players quick enough when they are about 20 yards out, that lays at the feet of Hammond. He has improved recently but he will be on a fair whack and I still don't think he does as good a job as Doyle.
We are vulnerable to pace and have been for a number of years and when we get stretched we sit too deep which allows the opposition to drive through or take pot shots when the midfield back off.We had I thought found a way around this but we went back to type sat.
Back to the drawing board Nigel!!! do we have players in our ultra large squad to do this ? in my opinion it's a big NO.

We allow teams too much room around our box woody ,when you have time and space to hit these modern balls they really fly and goalkeepers( Long) are sitting ducks. There is a pattern to most of the goals we have conceded at home this season and most are from range that tells a story for me I thought Hammond had improved that but he was sitting too deep on Saturday .

Much agree. We have these players in midfield who are "conserving energy" rather than generating it.
