Can't remember the last time we put a long unbeaten run together of 10+ games.
 
Typical United today. We certainly didn't deserve to lose and I felt there were a few positives but conceding 3 at home to a side who have recently been struggling to score is indefensible.

I feel more confident than I did a month ago despite today's result but I still don't think we will be going anywhere this season
 
What we've done today is allow Peterborough a shit ton of confidence. The top 6 will now run away from us. Genuinely sack the fucking lot. NONE of them are good enough

They just dont have it in them to.consistently work hard every week

Dont think its a coincidence the cup games coming up we all know how much they like to give it large in the cup games
 
Good performance in the first 60-70 minutes undone by three wonder goals from Posh. Their number 10 is different class; he'll get picked up by a big club soon.
 
Back to fookin normal a defence that couldn't tackle curry n chips from Man Friday's between em fookin June can't come quick enough for me get rid of the lot and PLEASE Adkins don't sign Hammond we have enough shit without adding to it.

Put 9 men on our goal line with Sharp and OG to attack.
 
We were too busy patting ourselves on the back for last Monday. Never really got to the same tempo.
 



It sounded like one goal was a dance round our defense the other two were long range efforts ,distance glasses for Long?
 
Frustrating game. We were made to pay for those missed first half chances. We couldve got 2 or 3 in the first half. We were gifted a way back into the game with that farcical own goal, then we throw it away a minute later.

He reminded me a bit of Scougall when he first came to us.

Can't fault the effort today. We were very naive and there were a few individual errors but that's because a lot of them just aren't good enough. I'm not sure if it's the defence or the midfield but the way we just backed off them on the rare occasions they came forward was criminal

Big positives were how many chances we created, the fact Brayford and Coutts are getting better each week down the right, Billy looking....erm.....sharp and Woolford showing he isn't as bad as we might first have feared.

The negatives were losing to a team who I personally thought were very poor on the day, the naivety, the lack of pace in the side and the reluctance to shoot

Sadly agree. It was painful watching how fast some of their players were next to ours. We look like an old side physically but mentally we look like a school boy side
 
Couldn't believe their 3rd. He just needed scything down. Coutts and Woolford are not viable long term solutions out wide and this needs addressing ASAP. Surprised we took Sammon off. Baxter isn't the man to bring on to change a game, he doesn't offer pace or strength. Wouldn't be surprised if JCR puts in a transfer request the shoddy way he is being treated.
 
The Posh midfield players easily outdid us for pace. We were made to look pedestrian in comparison. We created enough chances on a plus note, but our defence cost us the game.
 
If we had scored em we would be saying what fantastic strikes, what skill, nobody could have stopped em, concede em and our defence is shit,you can always look back and say we should have done this or that, sometimes you have to say probably the best goals we will concede all season, pity is they all came in the same game. I thought we played pretty well today and should have got something out of it, especially in the first half.
 
In terms of positives:-

First half we were excellent and Peterborough just couldn't live with th speed we moved the ball, our pressing and physicality.

Team shape was very good in the first half; we were narrow but it stopped Peterborough playing. I thought some of the partnerships looked good in the team - Brayford and Coutts did well. Hammond's passing was good and Basham showed some excellent mobility and determination. Sharps movement was good and Woolford looked more mobile. Edgar marked his man closely and was first to the ball.

Negatives:-

Sammon was poor, although he cops for a lot of stick.

2nd half at 60-70 minutes we faded a bit and dropped deeper - I would have taken Coutts off at this point. We gave Peterborough far too much respect. I thought they were a strong side with excellent movement which we handled well in the first half but struggled in the latter part of the game.

Baxter didn't do anything when he came on and I'd look to move him on now. Adams was a bit ineffectual (although coming back to fitness) and I'm not sure he's capable of playing up front as his decision making isn't the best.

I think we're top 6 material but we'll need a couple in (depending on who we can shift on) if we want to get near the top 4. Adkins is sorting it out though and it is improving.

Once again, Burton and Gillingham show us how it is done, consistent at home. We don't have it in our make up. Adkins keeps talking about the poor goals conceded but the same mistakes keep getting made.

Hammond has improved Metal but I'm in two minds. His defending is fucking abysmal as highlighted by the Bradford goal and their second today.

We did first half Carlos and should have walked in 4-1 up. Second half they did their homework on Brayford and Coutts, and the performance dropped.
