He also ignores the fact that contracts are binding. The rules were set up to protect clubs from owners. Imagine this scenario; Tuna man sanctions a wage bill of 120% of turnover, because he can cover the losses. Then he goes bust. The swine then have a wage bill they can't sustain. They go bust. Hilarious but it could happen to any club.
You can't allow a situation whereby if the owner pulls the plug on the money the club collapses, like Bolton. (Which is worth a thread on its own but not on this forum).

Just one thing BB The pork can spend as much as they want, even though they may not have a pot to piss in. If the Madam in charge of the lady boys goes tits up; all they need do is fleece more mi;;ions from the bank that once held my small amount of dosh

Stop whingeing you got couple of pennies to the pound back.

What a load of shite
The tv money is only there because of the attraction of the prem , which is an exclusive club
as we found out with our season in the prem and some clubs can break rules , and others cant

I bet if wed played an unregistered player wed have been relegated before the season ended

So basically it's ok to break the rules as long as you get promoted into the premiership.
As long as the prince is willing to spend 10million this month then we should be ok.
Would 10mil even guarantee it?

Its a system that ensures the big get bigger and hamstrings everyone else. City are not a football team any longer, just some twats play thing.

I bet if wed played an unregistered player wed have been relegated before the season ended

SUFC would never play an unregistered player in order to avoid relegation - this is innovation and out of the box thinking.
Something that a pre-historic club would never do.

But you said its because the rule breakers were paying the rulemakers salarys
Which is quite frankly stupid as we were also paying their salarys by being in the prem and west ham looked far likelier to go down than us when the ruling was made

the ruling was rewritten retrospectively after the season ended
stunk at the time still smells

the prem is financed by tv money , controlled by the prem club chairmen, ergo the clubs pay the premier leagues salaries

Trouble with that though bladesway is they wouldn't do that to us now, unless they had an open and shut case, and we were treated equal to the big boys, because, ( and this is were you have to give McCabe his due) he would fight them in the courts.

I thought the issue with Tevez (and Mascherano) wasn't non-registration, but third-party ownership? If so, Gerard Deulofeu at Everton has been sailing extremely close to breaking this rule. Never mind. They're a 'Grand old club'

Bournemouth fined £7.6m for Financial Fair Play rule breach

Manager Eddie Howe led Bournemouth to the Championship title last year
Bournemouth were handed a £7.6m fine for breaching Financial Fair Play rules after accruing huge losses last season en route to Premier League promotion.

The Football League did not confirm the size of the penalty, but details of the fine - which has not yet been paid - were disclosed in the club's accounts, which show they made a £38.3m loss in winning the Championship in 2014-15.

That was up from £10.3m the previous season, mainly because of staff wages, which rose to £30.4m, more than double the club's turnover of £12.9m.

Eddie Howe's side won the Championship title last season but exceeded Financial Fair Play limits of permitted maximum losses of £6m for a season.

Championship sides Bolton, Fulham and Nottingham Forest were all placed under a transfer embargo after breaking similar rules.

The accounts also revealed that it cost the Cherries £4.6m to bring their stadium up to Premier League specifications.

Another club breaching the rules, not sure why we bother trying to stay withing them.

£7.6million. How much are they set to receive for finishing in Nth place? The new TV money makes an absolute mockery of their rules. Cheat your way into the promised land and you'll definitely get away with it.

You can fight the establishment in the courts but you'll soon find yourself hamstrung and banished to the lower divisions for decades...
