Got to be a good win that seeing as better teams than this one haven't managed it since 1958, yet we still have the likes of Barney moaning for the sake of it .

Linking what happened today with what happened 57 years ago is utter bollocks in my opinion. It's like saying a win at a non-league side is a brilliant result because we've never played them, and so haven't won there before. Nonsensical argument.

Really ?

I'm no Jay fan but believe me he played well today .

I didn't listen to the match but when I did catch bits Keith was criticising something Jay had done. But that's Keith, he's a tosser.

The only thing that is utter bollocks is your posts .......................... all of them.
p.s please put me on ignore too pig boy

With yet another solid display from George Long :)
I've been impressed by Long of late, but he again spilled one early doors that they nearly scored from.

His shot stopping ability is top notch. I remaIn far from convinced about his command of the area.

Positive signs overall though, and given the money needed elsewhere, we may yet get away with it here.

Great result, but I still have concerns going forward. Woolford seems to be cack, Sammon seems as soft as salmon pate and McEveley seems to lose the plot every now and again. I understand he nearly gifted Scunny a goal today. That said Sharpy did the business. Sound like Long is getting better every game. So very happy. How did Hammond play?

Connor Sammon - just wow. I've never seen the introduction of a player have such a negative impact. That was a 1/10 performance, really dire.

I'm basing it on the size of each club. We're big, they're small. We should be hammering them. There's no other conclusion to be made.

Barney, just how predictable are you. I can almost sense your disappointment that we didn't lose, so you could have come on here hammering the team and Adkins.

We won so what do you do? Complain we should have won by more and anything else is unacceptable. It really does become rather tedious.:)

I've just got back from the game, thoroughly enjoyed it, great atmosphere, another win and a clean sheet to set us up for Christmas. Why not try and support the team? You might even enjoy it!

Been today and though we are far from impressive we are effective. Assuming we will be investing in January it's important we stay in touch with the top six. A few scary moments but we generally did OK today. Long, the beard and Edgar I thought lead us well with an honourable mention for JMac (credit where it's due) Collins was iffy at times but we carried the likes of Salmon and Woolford. They should be sued under the trade descriptions act for calling themselves professional footballers

You must have read my posts wrong. I'm really happy with the run we're on, but I don't think that should exclude me from being able to discuss areas of improvement.

so we win at a ground weve struggled at for 57 years
and your not nice enough to enjoy it
or reasonable enough to understand what winning there means
Struggling at scunthorpe for 6 decades is surely no measure of us? There's enjoying it and also having a bit of reality, yes it's good to win, no one is saying theyre disappointed with that, but fucks sake if you can't be a united fan and expect to beat Scunthorpe, maybe you're letting your sights get a bit too low?
3 clean sheets for the flower arranger is it?

I'm off to have a game of football tomorrow with a distant relative of mine, he's 5 years old.

If I win it'll be an excellent result because I've never played him before and so haven't won against him for 5 years.

I don't get it? We did win. We scored, kept a clean sheet. Exactly what is the problem? Yes it is 3 clean sheets in a row, I expect you are really pleased with that? Or would you have preferred us to lose? Don't let that stop you knocking the team and knocking the keeper though. Shock that barney likes your post.......o_O

Yet you act like a 5 year old in every comment you post. Do us all a favour and grow up Barney. :)

No I. Don't get it either
Course I'm pleased to win and especially pleased for 3 clean sheets, I'm trying to questions them that said he's not good enough - he clearly is - I like long.
Just trying to say that however low we sink I will always go and always expect us to beat fucking Scunthorpe, however maybe the shapla I've just had is affecting my clarity!

Agreed it's positive signs, but as a player reliant on confidence I do get the feeling he's one hideous error away from regressing back to step one again. That said, he's got the position on merit and for the minute looks fine – and while I still think we need a new keeper, it's not top priority.

Fair dos Nowt Fancy, had a few sherberts myself. Have a good Christmas! lol

I hope so, it's what's needed, too many half arsed players in our squad and getting rid of Baxter and McNulty is a good start.
I disagree mate McNulty one of our best young players reminds me of Billy sharp when he was at Scunthorpe but not as good and Baxter is a damn good player can disappear at times during a match but when he pops up he's dangerous to the opposition and proves it

I'm not saying he isn't a decent league 1 footballer, it's his antics off the field we can do without, and like with baxter, it's better to cut our losses and let everyone know that won't be tolerated.

Is that distant relative, your uncle who is also your brother?
Will you start the game as 'brother Barney' have a flounce, when you lose and then come back as Uncle Barney?

'So what do you do Brother/Uncle Barney?'

'Well, when I'm not shagging, your/my, sister/mother/cousin/auntie, I'm an internet troll'
'Wow, I hope that I can be like you when I am 8'

Bit unfair on your 2nd cousin (twice removed) as he's up against at least 3 people :-)
