I've been very critical of them lately and rightly so however.....that's two wins in difficult league fixtures albeit without playing particularly well and on top of the cup win.

Perhaps they're learning to grind results out. Well done to them tonight and we'll done to Billy.....proving why he should always be in the side. He gets goals.

Long way to go to convince this Blade but it's a start.

Two wins on the spin makes a big difference doesn't it. Suddenly talks of relegation are rightly laughed at.

With yet another solid display from George Long :)

If we had not been robbed at Barnsley then I think we would be right back in the mix in 6th place.

Good to see teams above still dropping points.

glad that the top of the table is constantly changing means we've got a better chance of gettin up there as well

Well done to Adkins and the players this week, not pretty, but back to basics and getting results.

Adkins probably was a little niaeve to start with this season, but now appears to have realized the teams limitations. Just needs to keep grinding results out and hopefully we can make some positive changes in January.

The return of Bradford and Edgar must be making a difference, as well as the confidence of long. Also, looks like the dropping of Baxter and freeman have made us more resilient.

I said in November that the aim was to keep a few clean sheets. With Jonny and Edgar back, Long finding some form and a bit of luck, we've managed it.

K Wallace to start next though?

Baxter not on the bench, suggesting perhaps then that probably the rumours have substance and it's over for him at the club?

I hope so, it's what's needed, too many half arsed players in our squad and getting rid of Baxter and McNulty is a good start.

Important not to say anything you might regret. It's easy to see how expectations have dropped.

A nervy 1-0 win at Scunthorpe United and some are getting excited. We should be batting these teams off like flies.

Credit where it's due, another three points.

I don't think anybody's getting excited, would you care to give us a list of names?

In fact, the biggest overreaction I've seen is yours, giving credit where it's due, that's a bit of a Humpty bombshell :-)

Ive been watching us since 1964 and cant remember swatting off Scunthorpe much at all

stupid unfounded half arse comments arent backed up by the reality

Ive seen us with much better sides lose at scunny

won the 4th div , lost at scunny
2 previous div 3 promotions
lost at scunny
probably our biggest bogey ground in our history

Nonsense. Look at the size of their club compared with ours.

I don't care about history we should be hammering them.

we havent won there since 1958

on what do you base the we should be hammering them

considering weve gone there with far more estabalished , and better players and not won

like saying man utd should hammer norwich today

I'm basing it on the size of each club. We're big, they're small. We should be hammering them. There's no other conclusion to be made.
