IMO there is no point in having local influence if that is not going to take us up. We have had far too many years, when things were decided by chairmen who knew fuck all about off the field matters. May I recommend the books by the Secret Footballer to all. A fantastic read and an eye opener Mr McCabe. You could have saved shit loads of money, if only you had had the right advice.

Wasn't the Secret Footballer rumoured to be Dave Kitson, who got a job at SUFC by being a neighbour or mate of Scott McCabe?

Haven't read all the thread, so apologies if this has been discussed already, if McCabe has refused to match HRH, what is McCabe's master plan to get us out of this division? We've spent 10 years now under McCabe going backwards, think it's time for him to step aside and get someone in with new ideas and drive to take the club forward.

RS tonight, caller said something major to happen in Jan, but the usual couldn't reveal source or say what etc

If there is sumat in this, I can only assume it won't be good news. We just don't do good news these days

Downloaded all four on Kindle The latest is IMO the best of the lot, a real eye opener...Cheap as chips real value.

In Fact it's going to screw us reyt and what we've got used to over the last 10 years will continue bit in a far worse state.

He's a sound bloke who knows quite a few people connected to the club and is quite involved himself. He's told me what he means by this, but I won't repeat what he said as it's not my place and I don't know the implications of repeating it.

All I'll say is that personally, I really really really can't see it happening. At least not to the extremity of his description.

You can't throw aspersions around in the first part of your post about this big thing you've heard from someone three times removed then say but I can't repeat it. No doubt you'll be back when "something" happens and say that's what I knew (ITK). Either have a shit or get off the pot, this type of post belongs on BM under the name E89 :mad:

I can actually, because I don't know the implications of repeating it as I've said. Likewise, it could all be the nonsense which I hope it to be and I'll look a tit for spreading bullshit. Feel free to trawl back through my back catalogue of posts on here, BM and Twitter...I have never and will never claim to be 'ITK', because I'm not.

If you can't repeat it, explain it or tell if it's true just keep it to yourself rather than doom saying woe woe and thrice woe (if it's true).

I hear all sorts of nonsense like we're merging with the pigs and having a mega stadium at Don Valley but wouldn't de large I can't repeat them unless I could justify a modicum of certainty.

Read post #73. Someone on RS has said something is going to happen in January, as has the person I've spoken to. The person I've spoken to has no wish to divulge what they've heard/what they believe, as shown by their post, and I have no intention of doing it for them.

It's all rumours. You're on a rumour board. If you never say owt without backing up with sources and the like then that's your prerogative, but a poster asked if anyone else has any idea what the caller is on about and I'm just saying that I've heard something.

Accept this is a rumour board, so what's your rumour? Saying there's a rumour that only you know about and can't repeat isn't a rumour, it's you telling us you have a secret. I want hard factual rumours to chew over and debate.
