no but we matched swindon at home , losing brayford just swung it
but the crowd were the usual suspects 15000 behind us and around 4000 hell bent on complaining

I never blame all blades
just those thats gone sour on us
and moan even when we win

and dont try and deny that happens

That explains the rip roaring performance then
we won
I may be wrong
but isnt that the gist

man utd got booed off yesterday be several thousand of their fans for a 0-0 draw
if they had scraped a 1-0 win how many of that lot would complain

fairies dont have tails

again , football can change in a moment , we could have been the doggest of dog shit, results wise
but theres 26 games to be decent in left
momentum can swing at any given moment
football is played by people
they have feelings , surprising at it seems

why did our Olympians do so well in London
uncomplicated uncomplaining support

gives these people belief, added 30% to their efforts

all our players hear is derogatory comments
got to effect them

we give up totally on promotion when its statistically impossible
not before the seasons half over
Agree with you that things can change but we are so far away from looking like a promotion outfit things aren't going to change overnight. Even the likes of NA would tell you not to expect it. I think that when Adkins came in he genuinely thought we were better than we actually are. He may remain upbeat but even he must realise the enormity of the task he has

So you blame the entire loss on just losing a right back then?
The crowd gave excellent backing to the players for 90 minutes of that game.
If you don't accept that then you weren't there, simple as that.

again , in all previous seasons when teams have stormed from mid table to win promotion
they were in mid table for the same reasons we are now

they werent all brilliant but unlucky
theyd not been good in some games

no Murphy disappearing helped
but some wont say a bad word about him
and theres always lots of reasons , players losing personal batyttles , a bad pass , a moment switching off

Just piss poor

Yet you blame the fact that 20k fans were there rather than 30k.

Attempting to follow your logic is tiring.

shouldnt chelsea be capable of sweeping bournemouth aside
how long you been watching football

when Donny went up they lost 8 at home

our last promotion from this division we lost home games
Southend did the double over us

are you going to the Coventry game , not to get behind the lads but shouting out to remind them shrewsbury beat them
not very pro active ,is it

If you do something wrong at work
do you mind people coming in and saying eyup pal going to drop another clanger this week are you
would you be motivated by it

and how much you get paid has absolutely nothing to do with anything
Southend took six points, Chesterfield took 6, Gillingham 3, and Aldershot took three points. All four were relegated, we were promoted in second place. 1989.
Difference now is we do not have a determined team who will win most games, unlike then.

He said that the benefits of a smaller crowd were that no one was complaining
So ( seen as you and whf and a few others seem to think that its the fans fault weve spent 5 years in league one )that should surely have lead to a barmstorming all guns blazing play without fear performance
Instead according to those that went we edged a shit game against a shit team and ended up with your usual comparisons to the g14 clubs

But we haven't been unlucky.
Just piss poor

thats what I said , the other teams who stormed from mid table to get promotion hadnt been unlucky , just poor up to xmas
we are no different

the thing is to have a run of wins , which you can in this league if you get the momentum

g14 LEAGUE ONE conference sunday league ,
makes no odds
players respond to support
constant slagging off or lack of joy at a win is counter productive, at any level

WE HAVE 26 GAMES TO PUT THAT RIGHT
and if it only takes determination we have a chance

It doesn't just take that though.
And those who watch us every week will and have told you that as you blindly slagged them off for telling you that we wouldn't make the top 2.

Agree with that and if that's what they'd had all season you would have an argument. But the thing is they've had fantastic support for most of the season and it's only now the fans are beginning to turn.

When in your view would it be reasonable to voice disapproval?

We've already dropped to mid table in the third tier, do we wait until we're in the relegation zone. Relegated. Fourth tier. Fourth tier relegation zone, or Conferance?

A line had to be drawn and we're past that line now.

If you want to clap them on that journey then good for you, but I won't and I'll do all I can as a supporter to stop them making that journey.

They've had support, we were in fine voice at the beginning of the season and have been all season away as well.
They haven't responded to support, so the only thing we can hope for is that they respond to justified criticism.

This is not a side lacking in confidence, the problem is the polar opposite. They're strutting around the park thinking they're too good for this league and that they don't have to do the hard graft necessary to get out of it.

Yesterday, I had a choice: it was either watch us play Oldham in the FA Cup or watch Sheffield FC. play Daventry Town. Do you want to know which one I chose?

Sheffield FC v Daventry Town.

Why?

Because I couldn't be arsed to wait in traffic then walk all the way down to the Lane to watch us play crap against a crap Oldham team (can't stand Oldham anyway) and players not particularly care. I have to drag myself to the Lane at the minute as it is, nevermind going out of my way to watch us play in the cup. It's very hard to be bothered to show up when a lot of the players don't care.

So for £4 admission, I thought I'd nip down to FC to watch a group of players who do care. Plus, parking right outside the ground and not having to wait in traffic is great.

It shouldnt make any difference if they were profesional and took pride in playing for the club the fans would respond

People dont moan when the teams winning and expecting us to act like cheerleaders shows how out of touch you are
We have been treat like customers for a decade now and respond accordingly

Bang on.

I enjoy going to SFC and Hallam, those lads actually earn their 100 quid a week regardless of the result. And it's a nice distraction from the depressing shite at Bramall Lane right now.

What a ridiculous OP.

Hopefully some that didn't go yesterday might carry it over to the league, where any fall in attendance will be even more important in getting the message across.

yes wouldn't that be great.
Hopefully they will go to Rotherham eh ?

Not at all. Where has this fascination with Rotherham come from anyway?

I saw you accused another poster of not supporting the blades the other day.

Does the amount you disagree with a post determine whether or not you're going to accuse them of supporting another club?

Take your head for a shake.

Really? I mean I guess it was somewhat obvious that the appeal of the Cup isn't what it used to be when at least a quarter of our season ticket holders didn't turn up in the last round despite the game being free, but for fuck's sake, that's truly pathetic. I did think that given the Worcester attendance and given the Oldham fans that I was travelling over with telling me they'd not sold too many that it would be poor, but less than seven thousand? It's not like the club have priced it stupidly or anything, and it's not like casual fans are going to prioritise Cov next week (standard league prices, Sunday noon kick off, on TV) over this game. I think I heard the Kop once in the game outside of the goal, three times if I listened very carefully and picked up the GCB. Fantastic support? Bollocks.
Think it reflects the fact that it was two poor teams and folk [quite rightly as it turned out] thought the game would turn out to be shite, whichever side won. Can't say I'm that surprised really, if anything, I'm more surprised that the home gates have held up so well of late, and the numbers that still make the effort to away games every other week. It's f**king amazing really.

If it was a restaurant you frequented regularly and they kept on serving you up crap, they could hardly blame you, the customer, if you stopped going - could they?

Could be Rotherham could be someone else,it's probably no one, but you are no blade. Probably just a lonely troll seeking attention.

Do you realise how much of a little baby you sound? If you can't handle someone disagreeing with you, how on earth have you or are you going to manage in every day life? You can't just resort to pathetic accusations every time you aren't agreed with you know. Have you accused the others on this thread that have expressed the same view by the way? No you haven't, probably something to do with your obsession with me.

I love Sheffield United ,you do nothing but slag them off ever. You're no Blade. I manage very well in every day life ,I honestly don't think you do.
