Fwiw I think it's the systems not the effort. That goes for Bradford, Southend, and any number of other games.

The players are not suited to doing what's been asked of them. Shrewsbury was maybe the final straw.

(And that may have been the one time where they thought it might be easy. At 1-0 up I thought it might be too.)

Given that we can't take control of a game we're now playing like plucky underdogs.

I agree that some tactical errors have been made (playing Done on the left being the most notable) but I've seen too many games this season where no system on earth would've given us a result.
You can pick a side, you can play this formation or that one but you can't stop them from being second best to every ball or give them the mentality of a team which wants to win games, and therein lies the problem.

That never happens though does it? Inevitably someone is always injured. As for the likes of Rooney and Vardy I'm not interested. I only care about my team. Even with everyone fit WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. If we are then I assume NA won't be using the January window to sign anyone
of course you arent interested
you just want a good moan
but we have no different problems to any club, all teams have bad spells
but most fans lift their team out of it with belief and hope , they forget the bad times and go again
such a shame some of our fans have given up completely on that,

What do you expect for the worst team in the history of the club playing in a competition that no one gives a flying fuck about.

Perhaps when we are no longer rotting in league one, people might be more interested in the cups again.

I don't think they are necessarily tactical errors, it's Adkins trying players in positions for which he thinks they're suited, and finding out that for whatever reason, they're not.

I think the clearest tactical error was going Route One against Shrewsbury. It all looks very exciting but it was almost totally ineffective. I think we could have passed our way through them.

Our bad spell is now 5 years and counting.
*league wise

Almost 7,000 people turned out to watch the worst team in our entire history in a pointless game in a competition we are never going to win. It's staggering support for these losers
worst team in our history ? We are poor but their is one team in our history I can think of that was far worse than this one (you may be too young to have seen them). Think Dougie Brown, Mike Guy etc

If we don't get promoted this year it will be factually the worst side in our history ironically with the most money spent on it.

he said some fans
it annoys me that people tar the whole team for our faults
when its some players not being good enoiugh
in the same way there are some fans promoting this that not helping

I have concerns , serious ones , but dont inflict them on all the players week in week out
the attitude of SOME of our fans is as uncaring about the club as they accuse the players
was his point
and to be fair its a good observation

At least you've stopped suggesting we'll still catch the top 2.

thats football

Im sure Chelsea fans are sat there wondering how the fuck are Leicester where we should be

theyve not spent a quarter as much on wages or transfer fees
This is true. It would be boring if all we had to do was outspend teams to pass them

its not impossible
improbable maybe

but its been done on more than 10 occasions , in my lifetime

if we win 8 on the trot like last feb itll look less mission impossible

who thought Leicester would be top of the prem
who thinks they will win it
football is always full of surprises

I can completely understand why people didn't go yesterday, despite the low prices,

Bad weather
Christmas coming up (shopping and work dos)
Many strapped for cash this time of year
Poor performances and results this season
Playing a team from our league

People who watch us play week in week out have been telling you we won't pretty much since the transfer window closed.

it's not like casual fans are going to prioritise Cov next week (standard league prices, Sunday noon kick off, on TV) over this game

Most people would choose to go to the Coventry game instead as its a league game. The cup doesn't get interesting or mean anything until RD5.

If I was a casual fan and thought I fancied watching the blades, I wouldn't choose the FA Cup RD2 as my game to attend.
I'm a season ticket holder and have been to 4 or 5 away games this season, but, I chose not to attend yesterday as we're fuckin shit.

doesnt matter wether I go or not , will be there v Coventry home on friday,
its results that get points

I remember Charlton going up the year we had Chedgate
they ran away with it but looked terrible in a lot of games
we wiped the floor with them at the Valley but lost 1-0
Charlton had ugly win after ugly win , were rarely convincing

we can win games , we are capable on any given day of winning
we just havent got a run going
but its not that difficult or unthinkable we can blag our way back ionto contention , its just getting the formula right
those above us arent light years better

I can only speak for myself, but I couldn't care less what Chelsea fans are fans of other Premiership clubs are thinking, same goes for Championship fans, we are light years behind many of those sides. We are competing in the third tier of football, that's what our teams results and performances should be judged on, and by any bench mark we are underperforming on a board/manager and player basis, being 14/12 points of automatic is poor by any standards.

As someone who was at that Charlton game, we absolutely did not wipe the floor with them.

Making things up doesn't make your argument stronger.

again thats football
we are no different to any club
, we are getting our bad spell out of the way early so we can storm into April and May

we are competing in the third tier as thats were we are , for now
we moaned our way out of the championship , getting the manager sacked for finishing in an unacceptable 8th place
fans insisted we sack a manager who had finished 5th and 8th in the championship

we are without doubt the countries most critical fans
we won yesterday
not that youd know listening to some in here

some of our fans have forgotten how to enjoy the simple things in football
