I didn't really follow the match yesterday.

Didn't think about going and for the first time this season, I didn't really keep too much of an eye on how we got on.

Not majorly pissed off when I saw we were losing and not really ectastic when I saw we'd equalised.

I think the losing in interest has coincided with realising we won't be seriously up there challenging this season.

I've seen other threads of people's intetest starting to decrease, is this a wide spread thing? Many others feeling it?

I have a season ticket so I'll still be there every other week but last week when we pulled one back, I barely even celebrated.

I don't share others irrational dislike of the manager because anyone with half a brain can see that our issues run deeper than that.

It's obviously difficult to get excited about a season where we're scrabbling around in midtable, and with a gap now opened between us and 6th place we're going to face an uphill battle to get into the top 6 come the end of the season.

I think my interest will return should we have a proper rebuild next season but I fear Adkins won't last that long and we'll pull the trigger again, hire someone worse, and go through the exact same scenario again.

Then my interest will go completely.

And no doubt if that got to mssrs Phipps or Mcabe they'd be on the blower telling you "jam tomorrow" one of the saddest things about this shit season is fans like raul brownie and me have basically given up.

Copying Deadbat's thread?

And if you think Adkins should be allowed to take hold of the rebuild, be prepared for the 4-5 more years in league one to follow.

I'm still interested, but I accepted we were rubbish a while ago. I'm looking forward to a rebuild, as I can't wait to rip into our squad of wage thieves.

A few things still worry me / get my blood warming;

People arguing that players like Coutts and Long are somehow going to click and become the answer, or the "when's Wallace fit" stuff. I can't help getting frustrated at the penny not dropping.

The managers signings. It's too early to write them off, but I've come to realise that there's something wrong in the processes at the club, and there's no sign of it getting better.

Imagine starting next season, with the excitement of a new squad, only to realise we've assembled another bunch of slow, un-athletic plodders who tap the ball around well, in keeping with the new "ethos" that has destroyed us?

I alluded to it on another thread when I was bolloxed last night but for me I wouldn't give a fuck if we went into admin and everyone from above Adkins fucked off for a real new dawn.

Being in admin ain't done Leicester or Coventry any harm

I have Written this season and the next one off already (and probably the one after that as well)

We are a million miles off having a promotion winning side, however we can't keep sacking the manager and starting again so we will have to stick with one, and the current incumbent has one of the best CV's at this level.

Long long slog through some dark times is coming up.

'Copied' another guy's thread? Grow up.

If you think that swapping managers, again, will solve the actual problems we have at this club, be prepared for a lot longer than 4-5 years.

Only a club as stupid as ours would be willing to let a man that has 5 incredibly poor signings to his name extend that to considerably more. Then there's the fans that will accept that then wonder how everything got ten times worse.

A manager capable of recruiting young, hungry, athletic players from league one and two. It really shouldn't be that much of an ask.

Adkins definitely isn't that, as proven by his horrible signings.

I know what you mean Pete - I checked at half time and saw although we were still 0-0, we were obviously getting battered, then saw they'd scored through Bradshaw (who else) and just went "meh" - it's that predictable. I was genuinely surprised and pleased that we'd battled back to get a point. It just shows how low we've sunk when you're pleased with a battling point at Walsall.

On a positive note, I was really pleased that George had a really good game - might get a few off his back (though I doubt it).

We need to find whatever it was that allowed to us to win those 4 games on the bounce at the start of the season, otherwise we'll need to start looking at the wrong end of the table soon.

Just go away, ffs !!

Like who?

And do you think our club is run in a way to let that happen?

All you've done is spoke in cliches.

No mate,i'm the same this season, even my nephews who are usually so enthusiastic have been touched by the apathy stick.

I know the sentiment you are professing but as has been mentioned on numerous occasions the current owners are the major debtors and are not going to put themselves into admin.

I don't think it's run in a way to let that happen, but it's going to have to change if we want to move forward by even the smallest of margins. I'm not speaking in cliches (Leave that to AA), I'm speaking in terminology capable of bringing success, as alien as that is to this club.

I can be very sure there are plenty of managers available capable of a recruitment strategy containing even the most basic of recruitment fundamentals. Prioritisation and judgement, both unbelievably non-existent in Adkins' excuse of a transfer policy.

I don't know about you, but there's no way I'd be willing to let a man proven to be woefully lacking in those key areas to be taking charge of a recruitment drive four to five times the size that of which he has failed miserably at already.

The changes of how we're run have to come before any change in manager as the new manager will be just hamstrung as the previous unless we make serious changes.

You don't get promoted simply by recruiting "young, hungry, athletic" players, whatever that means.

The teams that have been promoted out of this league have had a real mixture of younger and more experienced heads.

The Kevin McDonald's of this world.

I agree that the signings haven't lived up to expectation, although they are no where near as incompetent as you make out. And they're still surrounded by the same old shite players we had before.

First time in a long time...........................

............a Blades keeper made a save!

Fixed it Pete :)

There is this thing called the 'ignore' button
It doesn't work, unless everyone uses it. It's more frustrating to read responses to bollocks posts and have to fill in the initial bollocks.

There's a ban function, and hopefully Foxy will pull the trigger soon.

I was in hospital yesterday visiting so couldn't follow it. I snuck a look at half time and then when I left after full time.

My response was basically: good result *shrug*

I'd love to see that happen.

But it won't, because he'd be breaking his own rules.

Aye, the Police would come knocking, for sure.

Len was banned for being a twat. Your days are numbered, I'm sure.
