We played against a non league side and looked unconvincing all over the pitch in all honesty, it looked like some players could only just probably get into the Worcester team. Why won't anyone shoot at this club from outside the box? Why don't we take risks?

It was a good result but against better opposition that wouldn't have been anywhere near a 3-0 win.

I'd agree with that. It's frustrating how many times someone is in a shooting position just outside the box and passes it inside or out wide. Might as well have a shot and hopefully get a rebound if it doesn't go straight in.

I reckon we should have a full on meltdown due to only winning 3-0 o_O

That's not the point and it's certainly not a meltdown.

Honestly had that been a league game on that performance would you envisage a similar result?

We do not take enough of our chances and today's performance was patchy. However, there were periods of encouraging play. I thought Coutts was excellent on the ball, JCR was a constant threat, Bash was impressive and the 2 full backs got forward well. I thought the two loanees were average, but I am sure Hammond will prove his worth once he has a few games under his belt. It was a potential minefield, we are safely through and Wednesday lost, let's enjoy the weekend!

There are several that need shooting at. Not from outside the box, from 2 yards away. Let Baxter do it...he will miss.

Win 3-0 when many believed this was a potential banana skin and people aren't happy. Coventry and Wigan got beat so they must be suicidal

Certainly wasn't a complete performance and anything to write home about, but with 60% possession and 3 times as many shots on target than the opposition, quite possibly?

Thought their keeper had a good game too to be fair.

We are a team that is very easy to work out if the homework is done correctly, which in today's case probably wasn't done.

To beat Sheffield United you need to put 10 men behind the ball and counter attack, cut the passing lanes to both wingers and just do your job in the air in the box. I remember two shots which tested their goalkeeper and both the result of crosses.

I seen Walsall who are top of the league at the moment and they score different types of goals, headers, volleys and shots from outside the box. We are a one dimensional team without a plan b imo.

Be careful. There on posters on this thread that don't like anything positive

watching the highlights it looks like we hit the woodwork a couple of times, only variance stopped that being a rout, to be fair worcester could easily have nicked one at the other end

Lets be right..United were there for the taking. Any side with even an occasional shot on goal is going to beat us. I really think Worcester came here with a piss poor game plan. Lacking in confidence, the amazement at how crap
we are visibly sank in at times.

If I were watching us as a one off I'd say it was a very composed performance where a team well up for the fight made life hard for us but eventually quality won out.

Given I'm used to watching us, I know that's how we play every week and we just hope that the other team doesn't make a game of it.

3 times as many shots as a non league side no less.

I can't remember the last time we had 3 times as many shots as a league one side, which is my point.

Worcester flattered us today, really.

The three goals, two stops that hit the crossbar, stop from Coutts' effort are just a few that spring to mind.

We didn't even have a plan A at Crewe.

The plan B wasn't needed today, we won 3-0.

Whatever you do, don't criticise.

We've beaten Worcester City, and we're getting cocky.

BRING ON THE ARSENAL.

Don't get me wrong the result is a great result and two of the goals were pretty lucky goals for us to gain, however beating Worcestir 3-0 by no means makes us a good team.

Worcestir could have done so much better had the neutralised our threats which most league one teams do with ease.

I think it was more Worcestir being poor than us being great.

It's a flattering scoreline which unfortunately does nothing to paper over the cracks.

The fact is that a better result looked perfectly feasible for a side 3 divisions below us, right until the last 10 minutes.

By that reckoning, we could have won by any margin and you wouldn't have been happy, because it was against a non-league side.

If you want to know the last time, we had three times as many shots on target than Fleetwood and won 3-0 then too.

Whatever you do, don't mention that we won 3-0, we can't have.... but even if we did, it must be criticised.

I asked you the other week and you didn't reply so I'll try again... Can you point me in the direction of one positive post you have made about United? Just one?
