In response to the first bit.....if no one ever criticised you it would be easy to carry on regardless. That never works in any walk of life. They play a sport for a living and are paid a right wedge to do it. Most people give a large portion of their earnings to watch them.....they can take criticism when it's deserved as far as I'm concerned.

In response to the last part, has history taught you nothing? I could ask the same question of the club. A wise man once said that those who don't learn from their history are doomed to repeat it. Our club has been backing that notion up for a long time.

we all knew Adkins was taking over a squad still short of being runaway leaders
and that attracting quality to move to this league is not easy
and a squad thats had long term injuries to its better players
32 games still to play
I refuse to say its a lost cause

I think you will find that my own expectations at the start of the season were not that we would walk the league at all, far from it, although there were many who were optimistic.

In fact I posted that with our current squad ( at the start of the season ) I expected us to struggle to scrape into the play-off places as I was unconvinced with our summer transfer activity and definitely not optimistic about the ability of our current squad.

My concern, is that we ( the Club ) have been pedestrian in addressing the very obvious, glaring inadequacies in our squad, which have been there for a couple of years, not for a week ......

the clubs got us in the top 7 every season 3 play offs , yes weve failed to go up but its not for the want of trying
Im as frustrated as anyone we have failed to go up , but to say the clubs showing lethargy about it is way off the mark

we will win a play off one season as did preston on their 10th attempt

You're conveniently applying the same expectation level and perspective for all those clubs.

I think that Oldham, Rochdale and Port Vale not going up this year and Spurs and Everton finishing top seven in the Premier League are hardly like for like comparisons.

I'm all for healthy debate but you're going to have to try a bit harder. Those examples aren't relevant.
