You, brownie , LS26BLADE and barnyblade go and find us a billionaire to take us over then?

Why don't you put that suggestion to Phipps? He asked what more the fans could do. Apparently it's to find a new billionaire owner in addition to the two sufficiently wealthy owners we already have.

He has been going to Rotherham matches and keep making posts about giving up on the Blades. Why doesnt he move on instead of annoying the majority in here

Good to know you speak for the majority. It certainly doesn't annoy me that he is unhappy that our local rivals are currently fairing better than us. I'd be disappointed if anybody was happy with that state of affairs.

How much have they invested in the playing squad?

I obviously don't know the numbers because I'm not privy to sensitive information not in the public domain, but they have spent enough to have signed two players a lot of our fans were pissing their pants at the prospect of us getting, together with the feller from Watford, rumoured to be over a million, and the figures mentioned by Radio Sheffield for that full Portuguese international were around £3 million. Even without the figures, I think it's safe to assume the amount they've spent is considerable.

So it is a genuine question. Add it up for me. I am intrigued.

My football Mojo is slowly fading. Would feel better if I could see some reason for optimism at times :(

Regardless, UTB cause you can't choose who you support.

Not going to join in bashing the board but I would say I am a little disappointed that HRH who was very visible in the cup runs etc but has become a sleeping partner as we've lost momentum. Leadership requires the men at the top to be there in bad as well as good times.

An early stage league cup victory against a weak side that couldn't be arsed to do the basics hardly signals a two decade wilderness period for us!

Anyway, fuck them they don't define our existence, they're just some cunts who we happen to share a city boundary with (barely). Nothing they ever do should matter to us.
And I bet they don't complain about the ref tonight. Cant wait for the six hour Football Heaven special.

I have never put a question to Jim Phipps or his predecessors and never will. I am not a believer in spending other people's money. The board have made mistakes in the past but McCabe is still trying to put things right. If there is a wealthy person (not a dodgy one like the one at L**ds) willing to take us over then I am sure McCabe would be happy to step aside

Add what up for you, the numbers I have just admitted I don't have? I'd struggle to do that, to be fair. What a silly request.

Do you accept that Kevin McCabe is a rich man? If so, do you need to know exactly how much money he has, or the value of each of his assets to justify this opinion?

Just looking at their signings is enough to support an argument that they have invested heavily in the first team. If you need difinitive transfer values to believe this, find them for yourself.

Theres a sweeping statement that they've invested millions. But so have we. I'm trying to do a comparison thats all. You and others have said millions have been invested so I thought you would know to be able to make the statement in the first place.

I haven't listened to Football Heaven in years. Too many fuckwits trying to get a reaction rather than offering any insightful viewpoint.

And you read some of the posts on here? (PS Did you know we've been in League one five years?)

I think it's obvious that they are way ahead of us but why that will take two decades to turn around is confusing to me. We were much further ahead of them in 2007 but it doesn't take much for the tables to turn. They were one of the best sides in the country in 1993 but 10 years later we were a division higher than them.

And then there's the Lord Mayors parade when Nottingham Forest come to town?

With all due respect, that ship sailed back in 2007 and had fuck all to do with the current board.

The pigs though have proved what you can get from proper investment and backing up your words with your actions.
McCabes were on the board then and still are...

I know we have had a few poor results but I still feel that this time next year we will be looking forward to being above them. We need to string a few good results together quickly or this season may well be a bit of a flop but I still believe we have the beginning of a great team to watch....or is it the half bottle of whisky that I have consumed tonight? Hic.

Yeah but the advantage to this forum is that I only have to endure it from one side.

I did know that yes, why do you ask? Seems like a bit of a non-sequitur?

Which part, the hypercritical bit or trying to get a reaction? Let me know the address to send the mirror to.

You've spent most of your time trying to get reactions from fellow blades for daring to complain about the board.
Yet slag others for doing the same thing.
Is there a list of things you're allowed to get a reaction from?
Let us know, save us getting told off.

You are correct it is. But I would just thought I would add before anyone else did as it seems to have been on every thread that I have read today and it is now that ingrained that if I don't mention it for the benefit of a few posters, they will think I have forgotten.

to hell with the FPP

To be fair, the FPP is easy enough to get around if you want isn't it?.....just as they have done by having their owner sponsor them.

Didnt Man Citeh do something similar?Getting a bit of family sponsorship of the ground, kit, academy, training ground etc etc? Before they ended up getting a fine they just paid off?

You never know, maybe one day we may try something similar which can then allow us to pay up a number of the oversized, under talented squad and make space to bring in a couple of decent players.

Ah, I'm with you now, good point, I've noticed that a lot too.
Of course, all that will fade off after the next win. Most bi-polar bunch in English football our lot.

And that is where you are completely and utterly wrong, my friend. If you read, I have been quiet for quite a while but have got to the stage where I am utterly so pissed off by you and others every time I look at this forum just constantly turning every thread every time we have the actual audacity to lose a football game into a quadmire of viral abuse against the club, the board and anyone else who actually "supports" the club and does not wish to slag them off at every opportunity by constantly bleating about how shit the league is, how we have spent five years in it (did I mention that tonight enough for you?), how it is because we have sold the best players and not reinvested it (without the slightest bit of knowledge of how the finances work) and other such shit. Our Chairman says our owner has invested £25 million and he is ridiculed. But across the city they are admired because they spent somewhat less than this and had a good night against Arsenal reserves.

I thought I would try to join you, coax you even into trying to just get behind the club until the end of the season in the forlorn hope that we get out of this God forsaken division by backing them and being positive but instead it is constantly turned into a negative by reminding us of history. Or to paraphrase you, kick up enough fuss so that they don't do it again. As I said, if you kick a dog lying down, don't complain when it doesn't lick your face.

Its different FFP rules in the Championship.

That's a lot of words to describe you chucking your toys out of your pram.

As I've said numerous times, wildly misplaced anger.

As I said, there is no anger. But believe me, if I was, it is not misplaced.

"I'm so utterly pissed off" must mean something different in your part of town then.
Just direct that pissed off feeling in the right direction.

It probably does. But then supporting Sheffield United Football Club also means something different as well, obviously.
