we had the chance to leave a legacy for a lengthy period of time as being the dominant club in Sheffield.

Now we will be lucky to get close to the fucking pigs within the next 20 years.

Well done McCabe, Well done Shitroll Prince, Well done Phippsy.

What is stopping you from following the other lot at S6?

unfortunately I don't think many fans on here realise that Wednesday's improvement added to our mediocre start is what is really adding to our angst.

With all due respect, that ship sailed back in 2007 and had fuck all to do with the current board.

The pigs though have proved what you can get from proper investment and backing up your words with your actions.

  • Wednesday beat Arsenal reserves and everybody on this forum loses their fucking minds.
Get some perspective, they'll be out in the next round and finish mid table like they always do.

You would have said the same thing when they beat Newcastle.

Even without this result we are miles behind them.

It's more likely the fact that they're in the league above us, have spent millions on the first team squad and look to be in the ascendency, rather than this one result.

All the perspective needed is a look at our two league positions.

Absolutely right. From the tone of posts on here on a Saturday evening, you can tell not only our result, but also Wednesday's. If they were in a relegation battle, people would be getting excited by the possibility of swapping division's with them next season. As it is, they feel a long way away and there's a sense of hopelessness. We may only be a handful of points off the automatic places, but it still feels a million miles behind Wednesday.

A few results can change the feeling amongst our fan-base - but sometimes it feels as if it's Wednesday's results that need to change more than our own.

Personally, I think as a club we're on the right track, but with the current situation with a large squad including many players who need to be moved on, it will take a bit of time to come good. Unfortunately Wednesday's form is reducing people's patience.

They'll be loving that of course. The best thing we can do is ignore them and concentrate on building up our own club. I realise that's particularly difficult for those in Sheffield who have to face the Wednesday fans on Monday morning, but we'll have the last laugh.

That and the fact they've had real investment poured in and to hell with the FPP

Exactly Latters. You've hit the nail on the head there pal.

There's no way they'll win the League Cup and we have a much better chance of getting promoted than they do so I don't see much to get worked up about.

Why? I fucking despise them, despise their shitty ground, shitty fans, shitty players, chairman and board. I despise them from the top of my head to soles of my feet, and despise them more than it is possible to despise anything. They are vermin
You are praising them and slagging us off. What is the big deal about beating Arsenal's reserves after Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott being crocked in the first 15 minutes. We have beaten far more Premiership teams than Wendy have since 2000-01 season.

Ok. I'm back to the capitals because I've asked three times today and no one answered - HOW MUCH MONEY HAS PIGS NEW OWNER INVESTED?

Arsenal out, Chelsea losing, in the quarter finals, they've as good a chance as anyone.

I don't think he's praising them. I think he is just disappointed that we didn't make more of our spell above them and take the opportunity to make the gap as big as it could be. Their investment in the playing squad (rather than just servicing debt) looks like it might have turned the tables.

It always goes round like this . They've had to sit and watch us having cup runs, playing in the Premiership and spending a bit of money in the past 10 years and now we have to do the same.

It will change back again because it always does but as for the here and now they are showing what can be done with genuine investment. Its not even like they've gone totally crazy either. You just have to hope they drag us up with them. I certainly think Wednesday doing well will up the heat on our board to try to compete with them

How much have they invested in the playing squad?

You, brownie , LS26BLADE and barnyblade go and find us a billionaire to take us over then?

An early stage league cup victory against a weak side that couldn't be arsed to do the basics hardly signals a two decade wilderness period for us!

Anyway, fuck them they don't define our existence, they're just some cunts who we happen to share a city boundary with (barely). Nothing they ever do should matter to us.
