Defence not good enough I presume. Did we deserve to win it?
On balance of play, for me, certainly a draw.

Don't think this was down to the defence at all today. Not much anyone could really do about the first goal and the second wasn't the fault of any one in particular - finished up going in off Howard's legs but he couldn't do much about it.

If anything, I think we were lacking in the final third today but it's at the margins.

For me, it was a lot better general performance than Tuesday night - obviously without the points.

I see where you are coming from, but both goals were almost farcical, weak header that dropped in for the first, we need to be stronger and clear these balls out.

Even my cat is pissed off with United

If the mood on this forum was a human persona it would be bi-polar in the extreme! It goes from "Europe in 5 years" after a 3 nil victory against Fleetwood to "may as well kill myself and not bother" after losing to Millwall.

I know that this is not how the individuals who post on here think (lots who permanently moan and those who always see the positives in everything) and behave but the forum as a whole is up and down like a yoyo constantly.

Rather than rash remarks after a victory or defeat it's better to look at the bigger picture, at the moment we are a league 1 club performing as a league 1 club.

The contrary, reaction to Tuesday was widely very negative.

This.

You cannot give goals away of that nature and succeed. We should have drawn today or had a narrow win. That's what mentally strong, resilient teams do.

Very true G but we can't stop every goal. I think the first falls into that category. Yep, if we could wind back time and if he did this, and he did that we could prevent all goals but? Second was a mess but again, folk fuck up.

Trouble is, you only have to fuck up once at the back and it can be curtains. Up front or midfield, generally you can fail to make a tackle, you can give the ball away, etc, but it doesn't have the same impact.

Ironically, I thought the defence today, on the whole played pretty well and with more confidence.

Defence have been improving for the last few games, pretty much since Port Vale (what a shit house of a place), maybe the keeper more at fault for the first.

I agree you can't stop every goal, and I still think midfield is weak, I don't think Basham is strong enough, and I think if you have Hammond then you need Baxter to create something.

Matt Done is definitely out of sorts, not sure if he is still carrying a niggle or not.

Agree.

I personally I like Basham at CH alongside Collins though Mcgahey has done well since he came in.

Done was miles off the pace today. I wondered too whether he was carrying a knock.

More likely to be the behaviour of some of our 'fans' that makes some jack it in. Going to have to see about moving our season tickets as it seems the nobs who think it's fun to throw smokebombs in amongst fellow fans are back. Nobs.
And players!!

I must admit, as we were driving home I thought 'Shall I just drive five minutes to watch Harrogate Town next season' As a ST holder for over 25 years I'm losing the love.

I doubt the OP has a season ticket ,interesting to have your first post as a thread starter and to state you are giving up the club.
Also their first was a fluke from where I was ,came off the back of his head and could have gone anywhere.

Just my opinion, but I personally think that if he tried that header another 100 times he couldn't get it in the same place.

Pin point, of the back of his head!

Lucky shithouse.

Just keep the faith blades we have been here before.... Eventually things will come good. Minor setback on the road to glory.

I suspect it's a piggie strirring it (and succeeding)
