very pleased with the 3 points
Another great crowed
Throughout the season it's not very often you get a chance to put a team to the sword but last nite imo that opertunity was there for the taking . I found very frustrating the amount of times we played back to our goal
Goals for or goal diff at the end of the season may be as valable as a point

While the crowd were getting restless as we passed about at the back, the fact was that we were keeping posession, especially at 3 - 0, also, the middle of the park still seemed a little weak. Coutts would take the ball from the Centre Halves, and have no options, Basham was a little too close. I'll just take the 3 goals and the 3 points to be honest.

Hi Grappler 3 goals 3 points every day of the week just frustrating because I'm sure with a little mor endvour a couple more goals wouldn't have been to much to ask

I know what you mean pal, and I think they will come as we progress through the season, I don't think Matt Done is 100% fit if I am honest, so we have that to look forward to, we know that Che and Billy can score, so can Sammon.

Whilst 3-0 was a good result 5 or 6 -0 would have been much better and last night very much achievable against a very poor side - I remember the days when we were in the third division and Deane and Agana ran rampant through sides scoring goals for fun !

Of course 5-0 looks better than 3-0, but what purpose would it serve? You still only get 3 points and, if we're reliant on goal difference by May 8th, it's desperate. Would we have been 'sending a message out to the other teams'? Hardly, at home to Fleetwood. With a tougher game coming up less than five days later, would there be any value in going for it into extra time risking injury etc?

Of far greater importance is developing fitness levels, tactics and determination to turn one point into three. Last night, Blackpool, Wigan, Gillingham, Oldham and Doncaster all scored in the last ten minutes and did just that.

I also remember times in that third division season when we really struggled against poor sides, couldn't break them down and looked devoid of ideas.

I don't remember anyone booing though. Perhaps that's my memory going...

Playing against the teams that finished in the bottom four (Southend, Gillingham, Chesterfield and Aldershot) we won only two and lost six!

One of my big gripes at the minute is people moaning that we keep the ball. We're not watching 12yr olds who have no discipline and just want to score, score then score some more. With that tactic you eventually miss. When you miss the other team has the ball.
