I think the club have been arranging extra fixtures to enable players to get some match fitness.

Thats just my theory anyway - there might be a confirmed reason behind it!
Thanks. Might be nice to go along and have a look see how Harris is doing!

Its a bit juvenile and ironic to claim people are bitter, considering your posts from day one on here. And your follow up comment today. (Which to be honest had me considering a two page missive about the unfairness of it all and giving consideration to enetering a manastry until I remembered I'm an adult and not some fifty odd year old pre-pubescent like attention seeker.

But, in the spirit of friendship, I take back my comment about you only just realising no more money was going in and accept that in fact its just another rehash of your utterly tiresome daily one topic posts about the club.

Better?
Doubt a fifty year old is pre-pubescent but there you go I suppose.

You shouldn't choose to have unnecessary digs if you don't like being pulled up on them.

Would you accept being paid off if you was James Wallace? I certainly wouldn't unless it was at least 80% of the remaining value of the contract. So from our point of view why bother when we aren't going to be saving much money?

He's injured so will struggle to sign for another club any time soon, so ain't going to accept being paid off on the cheap cause he could be without an income for a few months.

We took a calculated risk with Wallace, he looks good with the ball but he is obviously more fragile than we expected but having taken that risk we also have a duty to look after him whilst keeping our fingers crossed that he will somehow get over his troubles.

Why would any pro consider signing for us if just binned them off?

Having seen him at SPS he was miles off the first team compared to Brayford, like chalk and cheese.

You should read posts properly. I said pre-pubescent like. My comment about the same post day in day out, apart from your "sabbatical" is entirely accurate though which is presumably why you've chosen not to comment.

Anyway,If you've still got your box of tissues to hand, I pointed out your two week deadline for Adkins on your own "Forget Promotion" thread. Or maybe you can explain whats changed.

I may then take Bush Blades advice and put you on ignore.

What on earth are you talking about? Please clear up this two week deadline and I'll be happy to respond.

I do post similar things day in day out, what's your point? Opinions are there to be expressed and there's only so many things that can be discussed.

You're going to put me on ignore. And you say that as if you intend it in a threatening manner, and as though I actually care in the slightest what you are or aren't going to do.

Now instead of throwing tantrums when pulled up on them, how about you don't have a dig in the first place and you wouldn't have to. :)

Putting you on ignore is "threatening" ? LOL. Do you ever leave the house?

Forget Promotion thread. A comment you made around two weeks ago suggesting you would only question Adkins if form led us into the relegation zone.

As I've said already, read posts properly, I gave you the thread title - your thread btw - so it shouldn't be that hard.

You said it as though that's how you wanted it to come across, how is that anything to do with what I think of it? I think it's pathetic.

I've read each and every one of your illiterate posts thoroughly and still I am struggling to understand what you're clutching at.

You're pointing out something I said 2 weeks ago? A well done and a biscuit? Is that what you're after?

Would you like to explain what you're after? Because if you don't BE WARNED - i'm definitely putting you on ignore. Definitely.

BushBlade posted this link which suggests that FFP doesn't affect SUFC as we are in L1.

http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/the-benefactor-model-permitted-in-league-1-and-2

If that's the case, why do clubs in our league abide to it's rules?

This is the bit that I don't get:

The 'benefactor' model can operate unrestricted in League 1 and League 2 and there is nothing to prevent a wealthy owner purchasing a lower division team and funding a huge overspend via cash injections (although it is worth pointing out that the lower divisions are not awash with wealthy owners willing to throw money into their club. Permitting benefactor donations to a club is interesting; benefactor-spending of course has an inflationary effect on the wages in the division (something clubs are keen to avoid). Coventry's manager recently confirmed that the club owners will inject cash into their club to fund player wages - without equity injections being included as 'Turnover', Coventry would be operating under a transfer embargo.

Are the bits in bold not a contradiction?
  1. Spend what you like without penalty
  2. Operate under transfer embargo

Not relevant to us yet though as we operate in L1 under the SCMP financial fair play model. Our trading losses dont matter for the calculations as things stand.
COURSE IRS RELEVANT , WHAT HES SAYING IS THEY ARE BEING ENFORCED WITH VIGOIUR NOW

they had 24 months to comply ,,,now they are clamping down ,,,, hard

read it properly

Could the "really close" one, be Hammond?

On the Leicester fans forum today

"...Apparently this is back on. Trained with Utd this morning..."

The TOP SECRET Hammond deal does seem to be edging closer but relying on this as a source could just be us reading each others forums and getting all of a tizzy.

No, it says if it wasn't for SCMP allowing equity investments, Cov would have been fucked.

Wallace injured again. It's about time we start ripping up contracts.

Fuck them, they are employed to do a job they are incapable of doing.

Why the fuck was a crock given 2 years ffs.

Stick Flo Cuvelliers in the shredder whilst we are at it.

Don't pay them up, let them take it to court if they want their money. make them do some fucking work for once. Absolute waste of spaces.

Surely James Wallace just needs to hang his boots up now? As for people calling the likes of him and Cuvelier out for it... Even the cunt reference? Piss off

Both of these lads are facing the prospect of their dream career being snatched away from them. Personally I'm glad we've stuck by them so long and still hope they get through it

I'm not glad we've stuck by them. They have been complete wastes of money in wages. Obviously thats with the gift of hindsight, but it doesnt make me happy we've spent thousands of pounds on two blokes who have done nothing since they have been here.

Why have we developed such a set of flakey ,heartless ,cowardly ,ignorant supporters all of a sudden ? Other clubs are laughing at our fans now ,listen to Radio pig revelling in this small number of twats who drag everyone else in to the same group. They don't all come from Bladesmad surely ?

I have. Trading losses are allowed in L1. We are in L1. Ergo its the 60% of turnover rule that may well be affecting us.

A bunt is a baseball term you hold your bat with both hands and gently place the ball where you want it to go by tapping it into a hole between defenders. I don't know what this other word that is been thrown around is very attractive.

Wallace was given 3 years.

I need to think of an amusing nickname for him - how about sicknote or is that 'offensive'

Love this quote :-)

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what?” ― Stephen Fry
