Who looks at Connor sammon and thinks " you know that lad he'd make a cracking left winger " when you bring him on for Done as we did today you need to go 4-4-2 scougs and Adams out wide sammon up front or when you take scougs off to bring JCR on , Adams on one wing JCR on other sammon up front easy !! Why do managers seem to over complicate things ?

I thought he changed it to 4-4-2? Someone in another thread said that going from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 is what halted the momentum.

Are you saying he put Sammon on left? Who went upfront?

I think that this was the most bizarre thin today. I would have taken Baxter and Scougall off,put Reed next to Basham and played two wide. He could even have gone to 3 at the back but he seemed clueless want to do when they went to ten men. In fairness the 15 mins up to the sending off we played OK but after that we seemed to go into panic mode which had a clear effect on the away fans watching

Against 10 men it's important to have width and it's important to keep the ball. Reed for Scougall and JCR for Adams would've been the right way to go.

I couldn't actually think of anything worse than putting a donkey of a centre forward on the wing in these circumstances.

Well we can't take Billy the managers favourite off can we ?

Sammon came on today and it wouldn't have mattered where he played, he had a touch like a baby elephant. In his defence he wasn't the only one who was utter crap today. The vast majority were with the exception of young Harrison who had a decent game.

Sammon was wide left,JCR wide right and Sharp down the middle. No idea where Adams was supposed to be playing and I don't think he did either

Adams sort of played behind the front two and Baxter dropped deeper. At this point we surrendered any chance if winning (not that the players particularly wanted all 3 points)

If someone can explain to me how Scougall got a starting spot, I would love to hear it. Otis Khan, one of our academy lads, has the same pace, but a solid build and a no-nonsense attitude.

Sorry Scougs, but it's a "no" from me.....

I remember Norway playing Justein Flo on the left wing against England. It worked too and Graham Taylor was on his way to the exit via Amsterdam. just saying like

Spongebob, his touch was no worse than a lot today, but putting him on the wing?

Young Harrison looked promising today, just did the basics but that was all we expected.

On a plus note Grappler I posted in a different thread that young Harrison ( cus lets be honest, we can't spell his last name!) had a decent game and looked quite commanding. His passing was of a decent tempo and he used the ball well. Almost got caught out by Poleon first half but grew in confidence as the game went on. As for Sammon, he's offered us so little after a great game at Peterborough but why he isn't central with Billy With Che and JCR wide can only be answered by Nigel

er excuse me young man, but I spell his name correctly every time! ;)

Yes Poleon seemed dangerous at times, but the young defender did well, let's not forget he is only 20 years old.

gone in the jtw then.. undisclosed fee??

Of course......;)

He genuinely played well today pal, I think he is just realising how strong he is, if he did some "Maguire like' runs straight through the middle of the park, he would cause problems
