I'm with you, best shirt we've ever had, it's a beautiful design and the old style badge makes it even better. Although I do think it should be our away shirt.
So a kid on photoshop it is then. In fairness it's not a bad kit but I suppose the manufacturers have to pretend it took an age so it justifies the ridiculous price tag for a bit of plastic cloth made in a sweat shop in Vietnam.according to Adidas it took their top designers 3 weeks to get right
they had to build in 7 elements given to them by the club
they were given specific briefs on what was wanted
Sorry to come out of my forum retirement so early, but i've been reading and I just can't resist on this one.
This years kit is beyond idiocy. For starters, it's meant to be an anniversary kit. Anybody aware of the reason it's a year late?
It's been done without a single consideration of the history of the club.
If the board genuinely wanted to pay thought to the club's history, they would have respected the fact that 98% of it was played in the red and white stripes. A small piece of text underneath the proper badge on the proper colours would have been more than sufficient. Not an overly dramatised, long running promotional event. Not white shirts, pathetic microscopic stripes, red shorts and red socks.
How they can pass this embarrassment off as some sort of honourable gesture is quite laughable on the basis of the facts.
It's one of the worst Sheffield United shirts I have ever come across, without a shadow of a doubt.
Over reaction? You might think. I'm not entirely bothered, this kit is unacceptable.

Sorry but the end of 125 celebrations were 2014. Get to March 2015 and we are 126 years old. They got it wrong...wonder what actually happened? It was for the end of the 125 celebrations as has been patiently explained on many many many occasions*.
Marketing? Of course. But marketing that celebrates the history of the club, rather than, say, "rebranding" us as Sheffield Blades FC.
*Maybe even 125 or 126 occasions.
Baxter's wages need paying , along with many more. Oh and don't they deserve them.So a kid on photoshop it is then. I'm sorry, but are you honestly trying to say it isn't a year late? Our first season was 1889-1890. Ending 125 years ago. Our first *league* season was 1890-91.
Let's say somehow this is still 126 years, exactly why did the club foist this cheap, shoddy, badly designed, unwanted, and unloved shirt and badge on us hoping no-one could do subtraction.
all football is aboiut opinions , even those of people like you with no sense of style
its red and white and striped, but designed by Adidas s top designers to a remit , which they met with flair thought and modern design
I am fairly sure that if we were top of the table in excellent form with a solid defence and potent strikeforce this would be a non-thread...............just saying.
