A couple of bits of trivia - one of which is a botch and the other might not be true. Anyway here goes:

Boundary Park is the highest ground in the Football League. (A cheat this one as the Hawthorns is higher.)

(Port Vale is the second/third highest so maybe that was all about altitude sickness.)

We've had two players sent off against them three(?) times. (Recalling this from forum discussions last season.)

George Tyson sent off 2 of our players in the eighties, can't remember who. In the early 90s 91-92 i think we had 2 men sent off, think Gayle was one.

It were Beesley and Hartfield getting the early baths in 1991, and they WERE early too, both first half. i think both got reds for needlessly applying their studs on a grassy furrow.

And yet with 9 men we won second half with a goal from a poorly Deano. Fun days watching in the tightly packed sheep pens of Oldshittingham`s ground

Weren't we the first team to beat them on their plastic pitch? They had an unbeaten records going back a couple of seasons IIRC

John Flynn and Bobby Campbell were sent off in the 3-0 defeat in December 1977. Ronnie Blair of Oldham was sent off too for fighting with Campbell
