Can't agree Swiss, while the collar is a tad too small, the fact that it is button down, in the classic Ben Sherman style, is not detrimental.

Look at the size of his hands!

But he's not wearing it in a Ben Sherman style... He's mixing two styles if that's the look he's going for

If I could give you a dozen likes for this particular topic I would. It's the equivalent of trousers that stop just before they reach the shoes, there should always be a 'break', where trousers/jeans meet the shoes and the material is forced to break it's fall as it touches a shoe.

There are some things that are perennial, no matter what changes in fashion occur, they remain classic elements for a reason. It's like buttoning up all the buttons on a waistcoat, did no one tell a youngster how this is meant to be worn?

You know that you're in 3rd division when chatting about shirts and ties is more interesting than talking about our team's football :-)

You know that you're in the 3rd division when you turn to the Sport section in the Times and Telegraph and can't find a mention - mind you, with the Rugby World Cup being on, that applies to the whole of the league

You know you're in the 3rd division when someone with a passing interest in football asks you who the Blades are playing next - and you're embarrassed to mention the team as they've probably never heard of them.
If they don't know enough about football to have heard of our opponents I wouldn't bother answering them. I'd just pretend I didn't hear and talk about something else.

My response is to shrug my shoulders and say "dunno, some generic 3rd Division side" - Unless we're playing Donny, Dingles or Chez Vegas

Happens to me all the time. Not many round here have heard of Rochdale.
