Another player Swindon sold who isn't getting much of a look in at his new club. QPR are now likely to loan him out now and he might even be available for transfer in January. Would be great for us. A young, tall central midfielder with good technical ability and a bit of athleticism. Can score too, as he did against us in the play offs. Exactly the sort we've been lacking in midfield.

But I'm sure we'll just watch him go back to Swindon or another powerhouse like Millwall or Gillingham.

QPR paid over 2m for him a few months back so not gonna be in our budget is he ?

Maybe not but he'd be a prime candidate for a 'loan with a view' situation.

That's probably the best way for us to get players in now who'd be good enough in the Championship.

More likely a loan option, but they'll probably want to keep him there until later in the season.

have QPR actually said he could be available for a permanent transfer in January? Can't see it considering the money they spent on him in the summer

Yeah played for them yesterday...and they arent rolling in money that is for sure !

Why the fuck do people keep making player suggestions when there is no intention nor any money to sign anyone.

I often wonder the same. You see people saying that we should sign this player or that player, usually worth at least £2m. Incredible that they think we would be capable or even in the market for that sort of player.

I heard someone at the game yesterday suggest James Wilson from Man United as a loan signing. Maybe some peopl have no knowledge of football, or something.

him going back to swindon as opposed to us might have been swayed by the fact he still lives near Swindon , just saying, kids in local school coming to us on loans a big ask hes just an hour from QPR

Gladwin is of a similar calibre to Dan Burn, probably lesser if anything. And we're in for Dan Burn, permanently too if the reports are to be believed. With the Murphy fee in mind there's every reason to suspect we've got the money, it's whether we want to spend it. In any case, as I've said on another thread, our best chance with players like this is loan deals with a view to permanent deals if we go up, when money shouldn't be as much of an issue. I didn't primarily suggest Gladwin as a permanent signing either. But despite what QPR paid for him, you don't know how much less they might be willing to let him go for - they're a pretty careless club and have made far bigger losses on individual players recently.

Why? Will money be more of an issue?

Increased revenue? Probable willingness from the owners to invest more? The absolute necessity of investing more?

Also, by that time certain targets might be in the last year of their contracts and therefore cheaper.

Not in QPRs squad for either their league or cup game. I know he had a knee injury last season but if he's over that and not in their plans surely worth a loan bid?

Looked great for Swindon, in this division and is a tall, goal scoring midfielder .

Currently back on loan at Swindon from QPR. This lad looked excellent for Swindon a couple of seasons back but doesn't seem to have hit it off at QPR. He's a goal scoring midfielder who is 6ft 3in, is skillful and puts himself about. May not be gettable this window but in the summer may well be as it seems Holloway doesn't fancy him and QPR have a big squad they need to cull .

It's irritating that he's gone back to Swindon. He's better than that, although I suppose it's better than him going to someone like Scunny. It'll make the game at their place harder with him and Kasim in midfield. At least he did a job for us yesterday at Bolton.

Gladwin and Kasim scored at Bolton yesterday.
