Higdon was garbage.
Did you really choose a game against a championship team to which we lost 3-0 abs an example of how shit he is? Come onA chance? Didn't see him put in a sub semi-professional performance at Fulham then?
2 in 2 means nothing when he's been thoroughly appaling for 18 months solid, come back when he's scored 10 in 10.
This club has spent too much of the last 40 years giving losers a chance and what have they achieved? Less than f**k all

Higdon 2 in 2
Sheffield United 1 in 2.
Just saying Adkins...
Wow can't believe you are questioning Adkins judgement on Higdon. All the strikers we have at the moment are 10x better. Just because Higdon has scored two in two doesn't mean we should bring him back. One player might work better with another team because they suit the playing style of that team.Higdon 2 in 2

If Higdon is the answer, then the question is: what implement shall I use to kill myself?

Yes I would, because my same point is still relevant. It would show Higdon fits Oldham's style of play and definitely doesn't suit ours. Higdon is fat un-fit old man (in terms of football, he's still young outside of football). Higdon doesn't even try, doesn't win any balls in the air and is shows less movement than a brick. While Sammon wins nearly all or at least most balls that are kicked up to them, gives a lot of effort, is actually fit and can actually score.Would you say the same come the end of Higdons loan if he's scored 10-15 goals? I'd argue Sammon and Higdon are the same type of player, and Higdon would be more than capable than what Sammon is doing right now, maybe with a goal or two more.

I'm not saying he's a brilliant player or a world beater, what I'm saying is, he's scored more than us in his last two games. Yet hasn't had a run of games for us this season.
Because he isn't good enough. I don't care how many he's scored for Oldham, he isn't good enough to play for us.
Sharp got 6 in 6, so I assume you were quoting that record as well?
Higdon is a lazy, over the hill footballer who we needed to move on. We've all seen it.
I don't think you quite get this. I've bolded the main points..
He's a fat un-fit old man, that doesn't try and shows less movement, yet he's scored two very good goals in a week for Oldham. That doesn't quite fit your description of him, sorry.
I really don't see that Higdon can do what Sammon does. He's nothing like as mobile and wins virtually nothing in the air,but he can score. He was given a couple of chances this season, having been terrible last season, and he didn't take them. The story of our season, isn't problems up frontWould you say the same come the end of Higdons loan if he's scored 10-15 goals? Says more about the way we support the strikers than the player himself. If Higdon had a chance he invariably got it on target. Trouble is, the way we play he looks like a big useless lump as we were expecting him to beat three defenders on his own and pop one in without support. No crosses of any quality. No corners of any quality. If that's what you dish up then no one will look like a strikerAnnoys me more that he can fuck off elsewhere and perform straight away.
He turned in far too many poor performances when given a chance.
Tell me Sammons goal to games ratio from starting games, this season for us.
And how crap we are that we aren't scoringI think it's quite depressing that someone as crap as Higdon is managing to score in this league. That, my friends, is how crap League One is
