Far too extreme for me.

Dropping Freeman (unless injured?) is criminal - most conistent player so far, and the only one who didnt disgrace himeself the other night. Not the time for Diamaio either, especially in that midfield. Whilst we dont have anyone to replace Basham in the middle then he has to stay there.

I'd go;

- - - - - - - - - - Howard - - - - - - - - - -

Freeman - - Edgar - - Collins - - K.Wallace

JCR* - - - Basham - - - Reed - - - Scougall

- - - - - - - - Sammon - - Sharp - - - - - - - - -

*Adams if fit

I haven't dropped Freeman! I'm playing him at left back.

I've said it many times, don't expect me to read messages properly if you want a reply...!

Sorry about that - but still think we should leave him be at right back. Kieran Wallace in that role for me.

How we miss Harris. And Done. And Brayford.

That strikes me as an extremely puny team.

There is probably one less six-footer than we've been playing with all season.
I'm not in favour of playing "tall" players like Collins and McEveley just because they're tall.
When they're making defensive errors game after game, we have to look at the alternatives.

Assuming nobody else comes in but Adams and Flynn are fit

-----------------Howard

Flynn-----Edgar---Collins---Freeman

JCR-----Basham-K. Wallace--Adams

-------------Sharp--McNulty

close call between Reed and Wallace in the middle there. Would love it if Hammond was announced today

- Howard -
- Freeman - Edgar - Collins - Wallace -
- Flynn - Reed - Basham - Che -
- Sharp - McNulty -

Keep the first half tight and bring on JCR at half time for Flynn, or Che if he's having another bad one. With that forward line we can't be tempted to hit hopeful balls and must play to the strikers strengths, which is running in behind defenders, and making space for chances.

I would fancy that defence to be solid, we can't keep playing McEveley, and hopefully Collins won't be there for much longer but he's the lesser of two evils.

If Che isn't fit, obviously JCR to start.

Would quite like to see us use another central midfielder because that is the area which is really letting us down at the moment.

Howard

Freeman
Edgar
Collins
McEveley

Baxter
Basham
Reed

JCR
Sharp
Adams

Not quite that drastic for me, but 4-3-3 I'd go for, too.

Howard
Freeman - Edgar - Collins - Wallace
Reed - Basham - Baxter
JCR - Sharp - Adams

Bring McNulty on on 70 if we aren't winning.

Need to announce Burn and Hammond ASAP, would swap Reed and Collins for them if so.

Burn isn't signing.

Shocking, I know.

That looks an awfully weak midfield and what's with 4-3-3?

Howard

Freeman Edgar basham K. Wallace

Baxter
Jcr Scougall Reed. Adams
billy/ Sammon

A midfield 3 of Baxter, Scougall & Reed would scare the hell out of me.

I'd go with Baxter, Basham & Reed. Maybe swap Baxter with Scougall.

Basham has been poor but he's the only fit central midfielder with some height and strength which is vital.

That team is actually quite good, when you take a 2nd look! I like

Not sure who id play up top though, I think away we need to look at Sammon on his own with JCR and Adams supporting him.

Billy has impressed me with his strength since he came back and he's got a cracking touch on him. Not sure he'd lead the line like Sammon does though

But I'll go with Billy as we do tend to lump it to Sammon when he plays

Ideally we need James Wallace in there with Jose and one of Scougs/ reed. I agree that Scougs and reed don't offer height or sense of direction, but they have the energy we need and can both play a ball.

I like the idea of Sharp and McNulty, mainly because as you say Sharp has impressed with his work ethic, dropping wide and laying the ball off. Strangely on Tuesday we lumped it to Billy rather than Sammon in the 2nd half. Then again, Sammon won nothing in the 1st but can't imagine it was tactical. McNulty can also pull wide, see Tuesday and free up Che. We need to be more fluent however with a poor midfield 2 we can't.
