Well the rumours about Browny?

Should players ever return to clubs?

Deano did......Edwards did..... so did Mendonca, so should Browny?

How many others have there been that have been a success?

Whilst there may not be too many examples of players returning to a previous club and enjoying the same kind of success, i don't see that as proof that it can never be the case.

Even if you take the goal threat away from him, which will undoubtably be the one thing people will complain about if he fails to deliver 10+ goals, his combative, physical style combined with his excellent ability on the ball will make him a fantastic central midfielder for us.

The sceptic in me thinks that this deal will never happen anyway, but if it does i think we have the best squad and starting 11 in this league.

Whether the players will gel and see us promoted is another question.

Good point, well made.

It's alright buying so-and-so... but will they fit with the team?

The case in point was west brom last year, an undeniably talented bunch of players that just couldn't get it together consistently...now who was the manager that signed the majority of those players again?

Remind me. Did he have Kidd as a coach?

Are you asking this question genuinely or are you rather implying that having Bryan Kidd as assistant is some kind of gaurentee for success?

If it's the former, then no; Kidd was not robbo's assistant at west brom (i believe it was nigel pearson). If it was the latter, then i think you may be placing a little too much faith in Kidd.

Just to clarify things, i'm 100% behind the management team; i just wanted to point out that signing good players and creating a good team don't always go hand in hand.

It would appear that your point has little do with mine then, i agree that a team that has confidence in its manager is a good thing.

I also agree that Brian Kidd is a respected football coach and he deserves this reputation.

My point was that having the best players does not always equate to being the best team or achieving success. Right now i think we have a great squad that looks like getting much stronger over the course of the next few weeks.

I just hope that, as our situation has quite a few paralells with that of west brom, we don't follow a similar course as they did last season by failing to achieve our goal of promotion.
