26th September Home Vs Donny R'sonists (Doncaster Rovers) 10:30am Kick Off

If you fancy coming down for a game please let me know either via reply here, Join the "InterBlades" Facebook Group or Via Twitter @InterBlades_FC

**all games are subject to cancellation due to lack of attendees, just hopeing we can get a few down this time....

Any one interested in attending the game vs Bury.

I am wanting to make final preperations, all are welcome. just need your own boots, shinpads, socks and shorts. being able to kick the ball is optional but advantageous. (I actually dont think at the moment we have a confirmed Striker... (or a Goalkeeper... has someone got a really daft mate who is prone to the occassional fits of diving.... they seem to be a dying breed at the moment)

all home games are at:
Handsworth Grange Community Sports College

Is it on grass or astro and 5/ 7/ 11 a side

AlienBlade what's the standard like? I'm possibly about on Sat 26th but I'm not particularly good*... Foxy can confirm from my rare appearances at Forum Footy :)

*nb I don't mind doing a half in goal if that helps

it actually varies from team to team, there are some very good teams (and some quite poor ones) I would say we are currently somewhere in the middle. (possible towards the lesser end as we treat this as being a laugh (with a hint of competativeness)

Left one on left foot, right one on right foot. Hope this clears a few issues up.
is that someone taking this michael but refraining from throwing his own "boots" into the ring...

It's from someone who doesn't actually own any boots , plays enough football already and is having a laugh with one of his mates.Maybe see you at forum footy one day?

doesn't own any boots by plays enough football already.... do you play in bare feet ;)

are the footy forums 5/7/11?? I was tempted the last time I think, but I think there was something else on with this team. if they are on any day bar Sunday's I may come next time.

(and you know I was just needling you in a vane attempt to get you to come down to play?) :D

If you upset Swiss, you upset Raul. That's the way it goes round here.

Not in the slightest :)

Btw Forum footy is 5/7 a side on astro, but I think only tends to be on a Sunday morning

thats where I would have fallen foul then, (only day I get to see my daughter is on the Sunday) I knew there was a reason I couldnt make it, as I did look at it when it was last touted.

I dont think I upset Swiss... or at least I dont think I did?
Or raul for that matter. If I thought I could contribute I might be tempted, but Sunday is enough for me now. I think given the debut of one of your old boys last Sunday, forum footy is where Inter Blades go out to pasture.

What are the age ranges like ? i'm 49 but reckon i'd be ok fitness wise as i do go running quite regularly. Would be interested for future but struggling with those 3 dates due to a dodgy shift pattern !

Haven't played 11 a side properly for a few years and do 5 a side solely at the moment but I reckon I could play a part if needed.

who turned out?

our current range is 16-38 (ish)
however we had a guy played for us several years back who was turned 50 (and was probably fitter than any of us), what he lacked in the speed department he made up for in the snapping of people's legs....(very few dared go in to any 50-50 with him) all the good ole days lol

all are welcome. it's primarily to have a laugh and was set up to bring fans of opposing clubs together in a game of football rather than scrapping before games (it's been going since I think 1996ish) I've been playing since around 1999/00

the bonus is (barring the odd occassions when someone has the bright idea to do warm ups) we dont do any training, it's just a case of turning up and playing,

Thanks for the cv alien ,lol ,oh by the way I'm 54 and still fitter .thats the good thing when you've never had pace you don't need it . Pencil me in for the bury game .

Should be okay for 19th and 26th September.

I've more or less confirmed the one on the 19th will be against Halifax (had mixed results last season first game, where we did unfortunatley only had 9 men show up we got battered 13-0 at home, however with 11 men we lost narrowly 4-3 at their place)

Quite an age gap then :-) although we do manage a couple of hours at forum 5-a-side, it may be different gravy on the big pitch. Think i'll pop down one day and suss it out first !

who says it was you...... hahahaha JK (and lets be honest it doesn't take much to be fitter than our lot...)

shall I get the St John's ambulance on stand by... and get the Northen General on High Alert.... :p;)

would be great if you can get down we've lacked that bite in midfield since you left

To be fair you won't need the ambulance till my first two footer goes in lol ,I've trained a fair bit this summer and dropped a few pounds ,just fancy pulling the boots on to see what the fitness is like . And it's sa
