There's nothing modern about Twitter. It bases it's principals around people caring what you and famous people think.

I tried it and realised I would have more fun humping a bag of rusty nails (which I didn't try).

No issue with the modern world but a place that let's people make unchallenged death threats and does fuck all about it? If that's progress I'll stay in my world of cause and effect thanks.

I find it's good for up to the date news in sports I have an interest in. Great for when I'm at work and don't have access to Sky Sports News. You're not forced to follow anyone famous on Twitter nor do you have to care what people say. That's the amazing thing, everyone has an opinion whether you like it or not. I post on Twitter, mainly Sheffield United related tweets or random ones if I'm pissed off. I don't care if people like my tweets, care about my tweets or hate my tweets.

Twitter can be used to send threats, harass people but that can be stopped by clicking the block button.

All in all if used correctly, it's a great tool which keeps people updated on current events which you're interested in, and in my opinion, that's great.
