The premier league will already be monitoring him after the finishing against Tottenham and Swindon, both on TV. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone before the start of the season.

Love the thread and positivity but a dose of realism needs to be injected. I thought Diego was a worldbeating talent, then he goes off the boil and its Che. Don't know how long a contract we have him on but he really does need a bit under his belt before we start getting too giddy. I trust Adkins and co will be talking to him if he truly is that good.

It's up at the end of this season, it needs sorting, now! In 5 months he can talk to other clubs if he wants.

The difference with che is that he's ready to shine ,not sure about Diego think he will be back out on loan .che is a strong fella .hes got another year then we have the option of another 1 which we will surely take up .

You see from your post and the next one is a world of difference. We get into panic mode when we actually have 2 years yet. I would agree we start talking this season early on but only if Adkins is convinced. I'm sorry but I am yet to see a single post on the Internet that tells me fans know better than the people at the club. Including my own.

Whilst you are correct that the club, staff and Adkins know far better than we do, I think you are doing us fans a bit of a disservice. Yes, they see things in training and behind the scenes that none of us are privileged to witness. However, some of us mere fans can recognise a player on the pitch when it's presented to us, potential or otherwise.

I agree with most on this thread that Che needs to sign an extension of minimum 3 years now or ASAP before the premier league clubs start sniffing around him mid-late season like they did with Dele Ali down at MK Dons, at least then if we can't stop him from leaving or if he rightly wants to move on to bigger things we can command a much larger transfer fee.
