Tipping point - needs game time now and a rotation with Sammon partnering Sharp sounds good.

Sounds an exciting prospect but I am pretty sure most people within the club knew that a while back. I'd be very surprised if moves weren't being made by the club but as we have another year +1 extension on his contract, we do at least have time to get him to the table to negotiate. Need to be very careful because at this age he can easily be thrown off form by the thought of hitting the big time.

Lots of things need to be considered here, not least what is best for the player regards timing of signing a new deal.

Assume he went up front when Khan came on for Sharp.
Yes he did BB.

He is an exciting prospect. Bags of potential, some of which he is now starting to show us.

But to push on from here, he really needs to improve his first touch, which was frequently poor last night.

Needs to improve first touch, positional play, tracking back, stamina BUT he has power, can beat a man, get behind the defence to receive a pass, shoot strongly with both feet and can pick a pass ( what a lovely timed ball to McNulty last Sunday) Defenders back off him.

And by the way, for when he has a couple of bad games ...he is not fat, lazy or uncommitted, just thick-set, natural weight.

There is no doubt that Che has great potential. Adkins has recognised that in some of his feedback, he has also said that Che is unaware of his defensive duties.
He reminds me a little of Colin Kazim Richards both in style and in no small way his looks.

I'm a bit of a fence sitter usually, but to update an old quote...
Diego is going to be good.
Reed is going to be better.
Che is going to be the best.

I'm not.

I agree wholeheartedly about the third proposition and by a long way.

I predict that Reed won't rise above League One level.

Diego will be either Serie A or the Conference and Juve ain't knocking...

Pretty impractical to do, but I'd wager otherwise. I only see his physique as a hindrance because the God given talent is there to do better.

Steve Hawes he ain't...

You correctly identify the problem. How many of his size and build are plying their trade in the Championship, still less the Premiership?

If I read NA's selections pre-season correctly, he certainly hasn't played his way into our starting XI yet, not by some distance and rightly so.

As ever, time will tell....

Rare I say this and particularly to yourself but I think your spot on here.

Reed definitely doesn't have the physique, nor the talent questionably as well from what i've seen, to play any higher than league one. Che on the other hand has incredible strength and power but he also backs that up with shows of extreme talent and potential.

Very excited about Che, not so much Reed.

Ridiculous ,did you only go towards the end of the season ? Che has a few cameo appearances and some meaningless friendlies behind him ,Reed played excellently earlier on last season. At this time although Adams is going through a purple patch Reed has more experience and potential including representing England ,not bad for someone with no physique or talent.

Why can't someone bigger and better?
Although I actually agree with a lot of your observations, just not the manner that you put them over, I think that Reed is an interesting case. There is without any doubt the talent there but unless he grows a bit, and at his age this is still possible, he will struggle at a higher level because of the physical nature of the game at that level. He is a bit like Jay Spearing , who was at Liverpool but now struggling to get in Bolton's first team, without the height he was always going to struggle.
I hope Reed makes it but the coming season is very important to him but I can't see him getting in to a 442 line up.

So what you're saying is we should accept he's had some excellent matches for us, and that his poorer games are part of his development, while recognising he's also represented England at an early age and is still at an age where he can improve further? I agree, but enough about George Long...
