He takes drugs, then lies about it, then gets off scott free.
No deterrent whatsoever.

oh come on he's got a fancy name too, can't he have a second chance/clean slate as well as DDG?

Reminds Bert of the old joke about the two Spaniards... Hose A and Hose B.

Makes you wonder how some of this lot would have gone on back in the days when listening to two way family favorites while eating your Sunday dinner was the high light of your week though dun it.......;)
Na Billy Cottons Band Show was better. :)
And Round the Horne was the Light Service's equivalent to Monty Python. :)

Maybe Bert.
He did miss the Swindon games and perhaps his inclusion may have made the difference between L1 and Championship football...perhaps not....so much speculation now.

Let's hope he doesn't get 'spiked' again...
Welcome back Jose.

what is jess ennis and charlie whoever saying??

I have no idea either way to be honest with you!

I'm surprised that people seem to think that testing positive for an illegal recreational drug warrants the same media response as a rape conviction, however.

Have you ever thought that maybe he is telling the truth and he didn't knowingly take drugs. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who are jealous of what he does for a living and decided it would be a good laugh to spike him?

I read in a Blades book (forgot which one) how one player spiked a certain other player at a boxing night. This player didn't even touch a drop of alcohol and thought it would be funny to see his reaction.

I didn't mean you! But there's been a few 'where's the outrage?' comments that have left me a bit perplexed.

A very lucky lad considering it is not the first time he has been linked to drug offences the first time was unfounded but maybe Jose needs to choose his mates more carefully in future, another run in will surely see him get a lengthy ban.

The lad might benefit from counselling, maybe a speed awareness course....

Big season for Jose. Make or break. If we got a decent offer for him I'd not be adverse to getting rid. Talented? Yes. Professional? Hell, no.

I think he could be brilliant if he sorts his attitude and fitness out. I don't believe he will but you never know.

5 month ban, 3 of which are suspended. I think the ban has been backdated as well so he's free to play from the start of the season.

I wouldn't call that "scott free" but he's been extremely fortunate with the timing. Any more positive tests (and you can bet that he'll be targeted) and he'll be banned for a long time.
Extremely fortunate for him ,but very costly for his employers and us poor sods ,maybe he would have made the difference in the most important games of the season ,however I doubt it going on the previous 46 . Cant believe how this nob still gets the adoration he does after virtually taking the piss out of us for the past 12 months ,in 5 years time he will be looked at as the Paul Richardson/Jonathan Hunt/ Bruno Ribeiro /Willie Falconer/Brian Howard of his time.

My only point against this view would be, he will have known something wasn't quite right and he'd possibly been spiked. Therefore as a professional I would have expected him to report to the club doctor ASAP, explain what happened and his concerns and get it all logged. He can then be tested if need be, but his version of events would be considerably strengthened if he'd highlighted his concerns before he'd given a positive test.

If you ever needed a kick up the backside he has just had his, needs to get his head down and put the work in, only he can get the fans back on side, just get on with it.

So he's basically got away with it then? (Not that I'm complaining)

The consistency from the FA is ridiculous. Paddy Kenny got longer for taking cough medicine than Baxter get's for taking ecstasy?
