I'm happy to trust Adkins judgement on this problem with Baxter.

Same here. If Adkins had wanted rid he'd have had the perfect opportunity here; the signs are he values Baxter & doesn't see him as the "disruptive influence" some claim him to be.

The main problem is as it ever was - how to fit the archetypal luxury player into a system (especially into Adkins's preferred 4-4-2)? But, given his ability, he can open locks when others are still fumbling around for the key.

Very glad that Adkins still wants him around personally.

So we are not going to offload him just yet then. Probably because we don't have the cash to replace him with someone better.

When was the last time that we replaced a sold player with someone better ? That is one of the reasons why we've trapped ourselves in this agricultural Division !!

Can't see him not being sold - especially given his contact is running down. I'd be delighted if he was staying however.

Then again offers may be few and far between - if he is in some sort of criminal trouble.

Im glad honestly we dont have much choice because it we arent in the situation where we can sell baxter who has been our best player to 1 of our rivals strengthening them. Baxter always makes a difference when he comes on, him & cuvelier could be a very promising creative midfield partnership

but obviously them two wouldve to be put with a younger version of a Monty/Doyle hard tackling midfielder in there as well. As ive seen on twitter what someone said adkins must rate him highly to be displined twice v fulham in league cup & for this unknown reason few weeks ago

Does anybody know what actually happened in Dublin. All seems here say and cloak and dagger. All I can say if Baxter is stopping , he better do the busines, as I for one is more than pissed off with the players this season. Also Adkins does not help himself in certain situations. 5 years in this league is enough shit for one and all.
Baxter -grow up or do us all a favour and fuck off.

Tony McMahon for John Brayford is the only one I can think of, you might make an argument for Howard in for Simonsen but beyond that I can't really think of any others.
