Great player but couldn't get way quick enough

Like Harry, they've moved on and so have I. If they don't want to be at the club that's their perogative. Me personally, couldn't care less about em now. The only players that interest me are the ones that want to be at our club. Players that want to wear the shirt

A contentious, selfish view perhaps but that's the way I see it

Putting it politely, KM is a twit.

As for his appreciation of Fulham, a big club? Their crowds are less than the Blades, they've peaked where their following is concerned, and the one difference is that they have an owner who's invested relatively decent amounts of money, so Kev would, as he's indicated, be rewarded to match his talent.

Perhaps Wolves know something that indicates Kev is worth so much and no more.

Absolutely right. The continuing affection for the Everton player, Jagielka, who couldn't give a fuck about our club, is particularly misplaced.

You lose a few Bladey points, though....you know we should be bringinemallback.

The Jagielka I remember could have left for Premier League football in the summer of 2005, was talked into sticking it out for one more possible promotion push by Warnock, and was subsequently a key part of that promotion-winning team - only leaving when we'd been relegated, because he wanted to continue in that league. Which was completely understandable, and his career since has proved it to be the right decision for him. I would say it's your ill-feeling that's replaced. I hope it's got a bit more to it than simply the Wigan handball.

There is only one person who knows whether the hand ball was deliberate or not. The fact is it enabled Jagielka to move, and got us relegated. I have no feelings either way about the man. He is not a Blade.

Ah so he wants to hold Wolves to ransome never done that before has he. I said at the time Danny Wilson was way too soft with him when he was ummming and arrrring about signing a contract with us, we should have fooked him off quick sharp rather than give him a ridiculous release clause because at the end of the day he was off as soon as someone offered more cash. Just a greedy bastard in my view who will never stay anywhere for long.

They can keep him, any player who goes to the media about a matter what should remain private between the club and player says everything about him. He's been offered a new contract on improved terms, he is just trying to play the club and if they don't give in he will move to someone who does offer him better terms. Sounds familiar to me.

If Wolves wanted / rated him , they would be doing everything possible to keep him. Another footballer who thinks he is better than he really is . Not good enough for us . We want dedicated winners in a red and white shirt , not has beens , or sentimental thoughts on ex players , who will get us nowhere . Hope Wolves hold firm .

Best footballer we've had in a long time. Only wasn't a fans' favourite because he didn't "run through brick walls" or some other shit that has nothing to do with footballing ability.

One of very few players I've actually enjoyed watching play for us in a good while now.

Greedy (or just after the best deal for himself) but good.

There are people who think it was deliberate? (for any reason other than wanting to win the game. I can accept he may have had a moment of madness and thought he might block a goal and get away with it). Are you seriously saying there is/was a suspicion he may have hand-balled so he (and he alone) could stay in the Premier League, at the expense of his club, fans and team mates???

I'm going to file this one under "dubious" (along with chemtrails, the Royal Family being lizards from another planet and Elvis being found living on the dark side of the moon). :D

As you please. I haven't seen Queenie turn into a lizard, you have me there.
On the other hand (see what I did there?)?????????? As I say who really knows.

Put the new contract on the pitch in the oppositions half, he'd never get anywhere near it to sign it.

What a complete tool. I always found that he was 50/50, sometimes sublime to watch, other times frustrating as hell. We definitely missed him when he chucked the towel in at the 12th hour but I'd not be bothered about seeing him back.

Who knows, perhaps a huge club might come in for him and he'll get his dream move to....Sunderland...

It certainly was deliberate, or it wouldn't have been a penalty! The question is why did he deliberately handle in the penalty area from a pretty routine cross? So far as I am aware he hasn't done it before or since.

I don't ascribe any sinister motive but I would like him to at least to have had the courtesy to explain. He didn't mention our club when interviewed about his "dream move" to Everton and hasn't since. Whatever his motivation, sinister or stupid, the fact is he didn't, and doesn't, give a fuck.

Unlike, to name but a few of many, Bob Booker, Kyle Walker, Neil Shipperley, Harry Maguire, Paul Devlin and Nick Montgomery, he is never seen at our games or showing the slightest interest.

That's why I have no time for the Everton player Jagielka. As Sirius says, he is not a Blade in any shape or form.

He was with us 8 seasons. This will be his 8th season at Everton. We were a significant part of his development as a player, but very shortly he'll have played most of his career for another club. That should in no way detract from his contribution at United. I'm not sure if you deliberately filter out his mentions of United, but there certainly have been some over the years - how often does he need to mention us to "give a fuck"?

At the time of the Wigan game, it looked clear at the time that he'd had his shirt pulled from the back by Lee McCulloch - you could argue the hand flying up was a result of that, or an appeal about that. Obviously avoidable, but hardly deliberate in your conspiracy theory of him thinking, "ooh, here's the ball, and an opportunity for me to handball it, get us relegated, and secure the move that I'm all of a sudden desperate to get". [he obviously had also successfully convinced the Man United XI to play half-arsed, and yelled something to distract Webber when he was 1-on-1 in the 2nd half]. Similarly, Jay McEveley must have wanted to play out his dream of seeing us lose a League Cup semi-final, so that his master plan of getting Clough sacked, and replaced with someone that might not pick him, could come to pass.

There are far more ex-Blades that I hold in higher regard, but this seems an utter nonsense to hold him in such low regard. I spoke to Jags once after an Everton game and we had a brief chat about United - it hardly felt forced, and seemed to have genuinely fond memories.

Fair play not filtering those examples :D

Strangely I remember Devlin leaving in poor circumstances. His form certainly deteriorated as he tried to get that move back to Birmingham.

Yes, I'm not quite sure how Devlin has warranted some sort of free pass. He'd banged on in interviews about how he was such a big Celtic fan, and how they were the only club he could see leaving us for, and then he engineered a move to join Judas Bruce having only just signed a new four-year deal with us. He was my favourite player at the time - the manner of his departure left a real sour taste.

The Jags handball has always left a sour taste for me. I hope it wasn't deliberate

My recollection of the handball incident was that he was pushed in the back by Emille Heskey and it was an involuntary arm in the air to maintain balance that caused the handball. I could be wrong but that is how I saw it from TV replays.

I saw it as a deliberate handball thus guaranteeing a move to Everton the club he has always supported, had we stayed up he would not have got the move back to Merseyside.

Only it wasn't a guarantee, he'd have had to throw games ahead of this one to guarantee it, and it was widely reported that he had a release clause in his contract anyway. Hans Segers revisited this is not.

And yet there was no protest when the penalty was awarded and neither the Everton player nor his big-nosed manager have ever made this claim!

Has he not been pushed in the area since? A lot of it goes on these days and I'm not sure the hand in the air is the natural bio-mechanical response to a push in the back.

Indeed, far more reasonable to believe it was deliberate to 'guarantee' us relegation. I can only imagine his big-nosed manager and all his team-mates were in on the whole thing too, given how it was obviously designed to scupper our chances of surviving and yet they didn't confront him after the incident.
