an open note to 'Jon Bon' - is your motto entirely appropriate for this forum?
Heavens to Murgatroyd lad. Bit sensitive aren't we? You don't know any Nigels with that nickname? I know two - one of which used to be the drummer with Saxon.

You would probably have imploded then if we'd ever signed this keeper.

I mocked that shirt up ages ago. You can see its fake by the way the chequer board pattern is all wrong behind the club badge.

Because I couldn't be arsed to spend that long in PS.

Nay, Jon, I merely asked you a question.

As for Packie, well its not really an acronym for Punjab, Afghan, Kashmir and Sindh is it?

After all you don't spell Khyber with a 'C' do you?

If you look at the red strips on the upper arms you can tell its altered, I hope this isn't the kit anyway not too keen, would've preferred a colour we haven't had a lot.

In that case then, yes it's fine. I'm ok with it.

Besides which, it will be gone soon and I'll be reverting back to my traditional one. I always like to give the new gaffer a welcome with an avatar but I'll probably be shouting him out soon when the novelty wears off anyways. :)

So, further to my previous post about the team I follow in Spain and their red away kit, barnyblade wants a green away kit....well look! Sporting's choice of kits this season has been this...(home, away, 3rd, keeper)

I also love the fact they are sponsored by the local authority's tourism department so they carry the name of the town on their shirts rather than some corporate whore. (No offence intended John Holland)

Au Cointreau Matt,

I think the red one with sash certainly passes muster - that's if we don't have the obvious red and white stripes, black shorts as our 'away' kit.

Away as in - gone away for a while.

(admit it Bianco - you like the white home kit don't you?)

I've never said otherwise. Its a lovely shirt. Not sure about the red shorts and socks though.

I get the whole "it should be the away kit" that people are spouting but by putting it as the home kit, they're guaranteed to wear it at least 23 times.

It should have been released last year though

Bloke I know who attends the fans forums spoke to John Garrett at the last one, who says it's yellow apparently. Fingers crossed I get my BVB style shirt!

Still have that picture saved on me laptop and it always catches my eye when I'm looking for other things. Still reckon it'd be a superb strip.

Didn't mind this year's lime green effort so much, but I have a feeling we're going to go to the other end of the spectrum and go for a safe, dull colour.

Anybody seen CSKA Moscow's away kit?

Change the blue trim to black and we're getting close to this at last

The designs for new kits were submitted to Adidas just before xmas, same as last year. The club shop are aware how fans disliked the home shirt and this was reflected in the sales which are very poor.(our worse ever) 3882 as of last month. The club has identified that more income must be generated through replica kit sales, as such, alot of hard work has gone into the new designs after gauging opinions from both the playing squad and fans thoughts through social media. UTB

Any idea how that compares with other clubs? Are sales down generally or just for us?

The reason I ask is because fashions and trends change and perhaps the idea of grown men dressing as footballers is becoming as quaint as tying scarves round your wrist?

Iam only going on what my mum has told me, she works in the club shop. The majority of replica kit sales are kids and teenagers sizes.I think thats all clubs, not just us. The info shes got is just for united, we simply did not sell enough shirts, maybe its because we are in league 1, or maybe its because nobody really likes the home shirt,we sold more away shirts than home shirts this season..that says alot.
