I don't know. If Billy still has another year in him I think he could form a very good partnership with Done.

In the right team and formation Billy should still be able to tear L1 a new one!

Definately do not want billy sharp, when not offside he was slow and when slow he was offside.
If he was not an ex blade he would not be on the radar.
Mc nuts can do everything sharp Can do, at least he could get better
McNulty definitely has potential but he needs to work a lot harder. I think 4-4-2 would suit his style much more although I don't think Adkins will change the formation I think he will change the way we attack and defend using the same system.

Errr no, it's because he has a proven track record of scoring goals at this level and in the Championship. If we were in the Championship then I would agree, but in League One, why wouldn't we want him? Every club in League One would love to have Sharp.

Billy Sharp would definitely be a squad asset , and its nothing to do with being a blade and all that nonsense .

Adkins would get the best out of Sharp . IMO get rid of non performing liabilities , to assist in balancing the books .

I just cannot see Adkins coming to the lane to settle for second best or mediocrity . We do need proven goal scorers , who ever they are . .

I think taking out the Bladey Bladeness side of the argument.
I could see a role for Billy here. Yes hes getting older, but I think he would make McNulty a better player as well.
Wether he would be worht the wages then thats upto NA to decide if hes worth the money.

Would he command a transfer fee from Leeds?

Lets bring in Billy Sharp, Jamie Ward, Nick Montgomery and Michael Tonge. Then let's ask Morgs to put his boots back on and see if we can get Matt Kilgallon in on loan.

We can tell Adkins that he will be the clubs physio and give Warnock a call to see if he wants to be manager.

Sorted.

Oh and we can ship that bag of shite Jamie Murphy off to Brighton.

The answer to the question re Billy Sharp is "No"

That ship has sailed

Does anyone really want to see him fail for a third time here?
That's the only conceivable outcome since fitness, game time, age, speed, formation, the way we will have to be dominant in games in league 1 as opposed to Scunny, on the counter?

Just, NO!

We should do everything to bring them good times back;)......Has Christian Nade got a team at the moment?

Same account that said we'd signed John Brayford has said we've bid for Billy Sharp

This has only "come back" because we have a new manager who has signed him a number of times.

One of the consequences of having a new manager is that he will, almost invariably, bring certain players along with him who he trusts.
Some of these we'll agree with, some of them we won't. It won't stop it happening*.

*Unless he's a weak minded wanker who can be easily persuaded by morons on Twatter that it should/shouldn't happen.

Just a word to the nay-sayer's on Sharp...does the price we could bring him in at have any bearing on your decision?

I reckon around £100-150k might do it...Leeds got him for nowt and paid £600k wages owed I believe...Adkins will want 4-5 proper strikers on the books I reckon and Billy, at the right price could be a good addition to the squad, Bladey-Bladeness or not.

UTB!

Nothing against sharp but I feel were strong in forwards & money more better spent on 2 quality CB to compliment Kennedy Collins than on another forward

We should be buying who we need, not who we want. Billeh was prolific at this level but someone like Williams who was at swindon would be a better signing, and he's a free agent.

Everyone wanted Billy to do well at BDTBL, but it never really worked out. My first choice would be a six foot plus, pacey, strong striker. No idea if COG figures in any of the new gaffer's plans or not, or Steven Davies come to that, but NA knows that big strong forwards are needed to get us out of League One. Higdon fits the size profile but not the pace. Billy would be a good back up plan, but he lacks height.

No, we want two centre-backs who are significantly better than Kennedy and Collins.

We also need a proper centre-forward - a leader of the line. I would still like to see COG - Bringimback!
