So did we start singing it before West.Ham?When I was very young 60's one of the most popular songs with arms aloft then rhythmic clapping that got the crowd going was " I'm forever blowing bubbles"![]()
In those days everyone used to sing that song, just appears spammers never came up with anything new and stuck with itSo did we start singing it before West.Ham?
Classic. That one started (I think) at an Everton away game (late 80s?). We won 2-0 I think!! Sorry, details are all a bit hazy."Oh when the blades" is quality but only if sang slowly for ages... Oh when the blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaades, go marching iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin"
Girlfriend likes that one, in fact if we see or hear a crow it's always a dirty black arsed crow.Just to pass the time until Nigel starts spending, your favourite terrace chant past or present.....?

1) GCB
2) Barrel of money
3) 1889
(though I learnt last week I was singing wrong. Apparently its "every year is 1889" and not "the year is 1889"

My boys love it too, although at 8 and 12 they thought, (until they very recently figured it out!) that it was "dirty black bum of a crow" and "poo on the losers below".....I don't think Mrs Torrix would have appreciated me teaching them the correct lyrics...
For nonsense value it has to be......
'Harry Haslam, Danny Bergara, bippetty boppetty boo.
Put 'em together and what do you get?
Bippetty boppetty boo!'
Or something like that........

My twin Aussie nieces, then aged about 7 sang this version for Kev & Mrs McCabe when my Brother and Sister in law met the Mc Cabes in a bar in Sydney. It was well appreciated. Can't think how they learned the lyrics though.
Except it is poo on the Wednesday below...........and its magnet not maggots in the GCB song
Actually, his initials are 'NA', so Na na na na really is a Blade.
Although in general I really like "1889", I'm uncomfortable about the line about the demise of Jack Charlton.
Out of respect, can we change that line to "The city is red" or something like that?![]()
