In all the frenzied new manager speculation, Clough's sacking has been somewhat sidelined. I wonder if they'll say any more about why they took the decision to pull the trigger, and how his sacking is in keeping with our stated policy of "no more short-term hiring and firing"

Also, if it's a two-year contract as is being reported, whether we are willing to pay him off for the second year if the first year is a disappointment

The timing meant that it had to be today. Jessica Ennis-Hill qualified for the British Olympic team yesterday, thus ruling herself out of the job as manager at SUFC. Second choice manager in the wings, awaiting the press conference.
