Rumours apart.............

Robinson is a twat and always has been, BUT his conciliatory comments after the MK thugs had luckily beaten us at our place was quite a surprise - very un-Robinson like and it made me wonder why.

When being a guest on TV games, he has become quite complimentary to our club - again, I wonder why.

He knows that there is a job here at BDTBL if he ever decides to leave MK Plastics.

If it is true that he wants to be nearer to L'pool and his family, then this could be the time when he goes.

The fact that the frizzy haired MK Dons chairman has said "he expects KR to be managing MK next season" is no guarantee, although it begs the question, why hasn't he signed already? Perhaps he was told you are on your way unless you get promotion. It might still rankle with him.

Personally I think he used us last time to his own advantage and is probably doing the same now - to leverage more cash from MK in terms of wages.

Just don't really think it will happen - but, he does seem to have something about him that is different and if there is a chance he will come then as a club we should be encouraging it.

Why would we risk Adkins if he's signed and ready by exploring Robinson, for then to only end up with Parkinson. Doesn't seem logical to me

Borrowed - Apparently Nigel Adkins at BDTBL at the minute - One of my mates dads who works at the superstore saw him
Of course he is Nigel Adkins has a liking for Red n White striped shirts .......................... shame ours will be white next season, Robinson it is then ;)

Guys, this is 100% accurate as my mate who's son plays at the academy has just heard This. Right here goes, Robinson is interested in the SUFC job. He's told the board he's interested in the job. And will be able to talk to our board from Monday, Robbo is top target and Adkins is all signed up and ready to go but we are apparently 'exploring' Robinson's contract situation with Mk that's why there's been a delay. Parkinson is last choice incase any of this falls thru. Let's wait and see what happens but Robbo is defo intrested.
If you have got a mate who has a son I find that pretty weird.

Of course Robinson is interested. He's always interested in SUFC. He speaks so highly of us it is untrue. I think he may be a closet Blade

So basically we are undergoing contract agreements with all 3, then fecking 2 of them off last minute?

Doubt it, could be wrong though and gladly so.
I wonder if it's like a mobile phone contract where you get a 14 day cooling off period??

If we appoint Parkinson it would be a step backwards and we might as well have stuck with Clough

I don't think sticking with Clough was an option mate, I am not in-the-know., or anything like that, but it sounds like a serious bust up if Clough and all his staff have gone.

on a lower budget with a smaller club

^^^^^^^ This

I can't believe that there are people saying that Clough is better than Parkinson because we finished 5th and Bradford were 7th.

We are a third division team and Parkinson is a third division manager.

This was the chance to move up the management ladder, to find a manager who has already achieved promotion from L1, or has managed at a higher level, or a young hungry manager, with some success to date and potential.

A manager who plays attractive attacking football and will give our young players a start or two.

A chance for the board to push the boat out to make a surprising and innovative appointment to send a message to us that they mean business and the rest of L1.

I am afraid Parkinson just doesn't get the juices flowing.

Gaw'd knows who they should get, but if it is between Adkins and Parkinson I prefer the former. Poor show if these are the only candidates left?

Are we a poisoned chalice? Five managers in as many years. Crap.

HH

Perhaps we have to take who will have us. No point saying we want Adkins or Fobinson or even saying we've gone for the cheap option. We may just have to go with the person who wants the job, not the person who we want.

Maybe, but that just shows how bad things are for our club. :(

I can't believe we are even contemplating Parkinson.
I've been in the Anti Clough brigade all last season but I saw things towards the end of the season to change my opinion.
Couple of centre backs , Ogrady in , Davies back , young uns coming through I could have lived with that.
Appoint Parkinson opposed to firstly Robinson then Adkins would be a disaster it would set us back light years .
You think you've seen safety first with Cloughy you ain't seen nothing if we appoint Parky

Given also that many blades don't want him, i think one bad run of form under him will split the fans again similarly to how Clough did last season only this time the majority will want him out and we'll probably keep him and go against the majority again similar to last season with Clough.

Fine on paper. But you haven't factored in Clough's serial fallings-out with (some) players, his utter negativity, his desire for a different team every game, his public crticism of (some) players. Mark my words, Clough would have ruined Adams.

Could Clough have changed his ways who knows?
Would he addressed his failings who knows?
What I do know if we appoint Parky instead of Robo or Adkins that's a disaster

Only way we will find out is if he gets another job.
If he praises all his players, buys a new team of 10 CB's not less than 6'-4" tall and starts winning by 3 goals every game we will know he learned his lesson

Don't let the doubters put you off posting Maxster. I for one believe you're not on a wind up and just saying what you've heard. At least it keeps things entertaining.

BTW is that two independent sources for Adkins at the Lane? That's surely good if true
