Sign Kingsley Onuegbu from Duisburg, just promoted out of the equivalent league we're in, 6'3" built like brick shithouse striker, failing that get the ex-Villa kid that Blackpool just released

Yeah, that's the guy I mean. Think he's only 24-25 so he's still got time to prove himself - set him up on an incentive-laden contract and it could prove lucrative.

Wouldn't be quite so dismissing of the standard. All three of the teams that went up last season are in the top half of the division above and the worst of those is probably getting promoted again. Have a look at the cup, Bielefeld knocked out 3 Bundesliga teams, Dresden knocked out Schalke, Chemnitz knocked out Mainz, Cottbus and Duisburg took Hamburg/Cologne to penalties, heck even a team from the regional leagues knocked out Augsburg and took Leverkusen to penalties. Clearly was a tongue in cheek suggestion as our overseas scouting coverage just extends to Scotland, but I have actually seen the guy play more than once and a tall, powerful striker who can hold it up and has a bit of skill about him as well is what we need.

I try to bear that in mind when criticising those who can do the job.

As I've barely heard of some of those suggestions and of those I do know, I haven't seen play regularly enough nor have suffient knowledge of how they play and what kind of person they are to form an opinion.

So basically you know fuck all about the players in question and all the posters are or would be shit managers even though a lot of posters have been pointing out where we've been going wrong from the very first game of the season?quality!

I personally think there could be some good managers on here, you don't have to be Einstein to realise what we needed from the start of the season, and don't say nobody would come because we were the biggest pull in the league.

I know there are other aspects to management but first and foremost get the right players in for the right positions or right roles, this should be basic enough wouldn't you agree and our great manager who can do no wrong, who can do his job better than anyone on here got it fundamentally wrong, lets let him do his job though eh

Yes, I know fuck all about the players in question. How could I? How many times could I have seen them play? Twice a season at the most.

Yes, I could 'research' them but that then I'd be passing off someone else's opinion as my own.

I said that I bear in mind I have no experience of managing a football team when criticising the manager, I didn't say I don't criticise managers, or players for that matter.

I forgot that Clough is the only manager to play players out of position.
